Have to give it to Gooden for not letting the game go to overtime.

Gooden was money and saved our butts at the end of the game. Gortat played very well. But Wall's monster third quarter changed the direction of the game and his overall strong performance powered us tonight.

John Wall's 3pt shooting consistently pleases me. Drew Gooden has scored efficiently in his NBA career, but given up as much as he gets. He's improved here and I like the addition of a long ball. But Johnny Ballgame has a takeover gear, I like to reward him when he remembers that fact.

John Wall, broke it open in the 3rd single-handedly.

Drew was huge this game, but I've gotta go with Johnny buckets. He was great tonight and should have had more assists.

Yeah, with a little, help from Gortat. Close between Wall and Gooden, edge to Wall.

Cant go Wall based on the two missed FTs. Gave me flashbacks of the Kings game (yeesh)

Gooden slightly over Wall.

Have to go with Gooden since he closed the deal. Defensively he also seems to be doing a better job, specifically when he's playing the 4 spot next to Gortat. He really does a much better job guarding pick and pop or stretch 4s than anyone else on the roster.

On that note, with Néne nearing a return shouldn't Gooden get a shot in the starting lineup now? I'm suggesting him because I would think its less likely that Néne comes back and is ready for starter minutes. Trevor frankly has done nothing to keep starting. Two straight nights now he's made moronic plays on the floor to carelessly turn it over.

Remember when we hated the Gooden signing?
The crow eating continues...

Game MVP goes the the original Uncle Drew
If you can fill the unforgiving minute
With sixty seconds’ worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that’s in it,
And—which is more—you’ll be a Man, my son!

Wall has got to stop choking on foul shots, but he was still clearly the best player in the game.

Who hated the Gooden signing? Well, I guess closg00 and a few other haters who seem to think the D-League is chock full of "hungry up and comers" who can join the league and contribute immediately.

Please quote-me where I had anything bad to say about the Gooden signing specifically. What I do and continue to advocate for is cutting singleton and using the call-up to search for talent to fill the bench.

Here's a sampling from the 1st page of the "Wiz sign Drew Gooden to 10-day contract" thread

The was a run on Centers after the trade deadline, most from the D-League. I would
like to have seen Dedmon. Let's hope that Gooden doesn't see too-many minutes.

Jason Collins - Nets
Dexter Pittman - Hawks
Hilton Armstrong - Warriors
Dewayne Dedmon - Magic

Other (Forward/Center)?
Jarvis Varnado - Bulls (7'4" wingspan)
Arinze Onuaku - Cavs

To be fair, you weren't as much of a "hater" on the subject as others, but you did seem to be generally inclined to dislike the trade.
