Hahn to Gladbach next season. Good job by Eberl again.

Yeah, especially for those 2.25 mil €, thanks to his opt out clause.

Now let's see if we're really able to land that top centre back Eberl was talking about and what we'll do offensively(Arango will most likely leave and we've got nothing behind our four offensive guys currently on the roster) on the transfer market.

So far we'd get Sommer(about 6 mil €), Johnson(free transfer, but signing bonus) and Hahn(2.25 mil €) while selling ter Stegen(at least 12 mil €). There's also some rumors that Newcastle will buy Luuk de Jong which would give us an additional 6.5 mil €(we received 1.5 mil € for the loan) to work with.

Any info on Aaron Hunt would be much appreciated.

In a nutshell: poor man's Thomas Müller

(+) Versatile left footed attacker who can both play #10 and left wing. Can both set up and finish, also works on D. Good locker room presence, very loyal, quiet and scandal free guy. Speaks a bit Turkish (wife is from Turkey).

(-) Classical tweener, too fragile for a pure ST, too inconsistent to be a pure MF, and too slow to be a pure winger. Questionable decision making. Not very assertive at times, often features bad body language.

Thanks a lot :)

We don't need him to play ST, but a right winger or #10 is needed.

Hunt is definitely a better player than the last Germans you've had at Besiktas.

Were Dortmund resting players? Seemed like their defense were completely out of it on the two Stuttgart goals. Fantastic finishing from Reus for the first and third of his hattrick though.

I wonder if the rumors of EPL interest around Herrmann may have some truth to them, Hahn is a great pick up either way, but if Herrmann gets sold for 10-15 mil and you guys picked up his clone for 2.25, that'd just be brilliant. Would still leave the issue of replacing arrango and de Jong, as well as Fabian Schär or Ginter, but that could turn out to be financially feasible.

A few, Hoffman was given the start on the right but he's a regular in the rotation this season, and Sahin was rested for kirch, who's pretty terrible, but mostly this was just Dortmund's typical BuLi performance since the injuries hit and Bayern ran away from them, be sloppy and clearly focused on the CL game they have coming up/still recovering from the CL game they just had.

That was one heck of game in Freiburg. Both teams wanted that win and you can tell the coaches wanted it, too. That's what I want to see

Leverkusen should fire Hyypiä. He might be a nice guy, but they are horrible right now.

Johannes Geis played one hell of a game again yesterday. It won't surprise me at all if he gets called up for the NT within the next year.

One day we'll get double digit million € for him and I'll hate that day.

Huge blow for Bayern: Thiago injures medial ligament in his left knee, misses 6-8 weeks.

BL season is finished for him, and at maximum he will play the DFB Pokal finals (assuming Bayern qualifies, lol), and the CL finals. Sucks for him, so now Lahm and Kroos will pick up the slack.

Ahhh kk. Yeah I think it was Hoffman who got outrun on the second goal, but resting Sahin looked like the reason for the first goal- pretty sure it was Kirch who gave away that one. Kinda screwed Sokratis over on that one. I have a feeling both sides will be a bit cautious in the first leg. Madrid won 5-0 yesterday but I'm sure that won't deceive them about their form after the week they've just had. On the bright side, Khedira finally returned to training today, so he could be back to the team within a month.

Important win for Gladbach today and it should be now a four team race for places 4 - 7 between Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, Gladbach and Mainz.

Given that 7th place most likely would be enough for international football(as long as Kaiserslautern doesn't win at Munich in the german cup semifinal), it was really important for Borussia, especially with us only having two more home games in the last six matches.

Will be interesting for us, especially those last three games.
Our fixtures:
Nuremburg(A)
Stuttgart(H)
Freiburg(A)
Schalke(A)
Mainz(H)
Wolfsburg(A)

Also, we've signed André Hahn[/url] of Augsburg and he's signed a four year deal.

It'll be a battle, having sami back for the second leg would be huge for you since I see a midfield with both Modric and Xabi alonso starting having trouble dealing with Dortmund's energy and pressing. if you started both Sami and Di Maria with one of them you'd be much better suited to match them in the middle.

As I said in the CL thread I'm expecting a real battle between Bayern's two primary rivals for the CL.

As a Lautern fan, We cannot even beat Cottbus on the road, and now you assume we can beat Bayern? We could play with 15 ppl and still lose 0:3.

Not really.
Still, we couldn't even beat Braunschweig and yet we won at Dortmund.
Though, I expect Bayern to go through, as they certainly want to win another cup during Guardiola's first season.

BTW: There are currently rumores, again, that Xherdan Shaqiri will sign a contract extension at Bayern and be loaned to Gladbach for the next two seasons.
In weeks past, both Shaqiri and Eberl(Gladbach's manager) denied it but a pretty reliable source(Torfabrik, a Gladbach fan page that is close to the club and only writes stuff when there's something to it) has stated that it's something that Borussia is working on.

I found a gif of Naldo's goal. 89th minute, game winner. Nuff said:

Another nice one was the goal from Geis (sadly) against Augsburg.

Apparently, Großkreutz did learn some things from Ribery. But knowing Großkreutz, this might most likely an accident.
