A loss again DET last night, what will happen against NY tonight? If we lose, we are getting out of the PO picture...
Lottery Land is in sight... we are simply not good and not bad enough....

after losing in TOR , if NY wins against CLE, we are only 1 ahead of them in the win column...
They won their last 8 and we lost our last 2...

I can smell lottery!

If NY, DEN, NO goes ahead of us, we could land as low as 10 overall and if lucky move to 7-8. In any case, that could help us land a decent player and help us in the long run as much as short PO experience would...

No, the 7 spot was nearly impossible and now, it's too late to end at 8 or 9
The come back of Milsap with 5W ended this possibility.

We can end lower than MIN, DEN, NOP but with 14 games left and 5 more W than DET and CLE, it's 9th east spot and only that.
This makes 10 or 11 if NOP wins more games, or an 8th playoffs spot if we stay ahead of NYK

If NY passes us, we have a chance to finish 10 or even 9, if CLE makes a final push for PO, including beating us...
If we are in the lottery and are lucky with ping pong balls we could go as low as 6 or 7...I would take my chances rather than 3 PO games...

Not sure if this is correct. If we fall out of the playoffs and end up in the lottery, we likely end up around the 9th or 10th pick in the draft. From there we could fall BACKWARDS to the 11th, 12th or 13th picks in the draft...or win the lottery and move up to top 3.

Those are the options in the draft lottery. You can get lucky and move to a TOP 3 PICK...or you can fall back in the draft and end up with a slightly worse pick.

That's right, there are only three lottery choices.

If you finish 10th worst, you can end:
- 1st pick (you are in the three team picked in the lottery)
- 2nd pick (same thing)
- 3rd pick (same thing)
- 10th pick (the three teams picked in the lottery were between 1st and 9th worst)
- 11th pick (one of the 11-14th worst teams is picked in the lottery)
- 12th pick (two of the 11-14th worst teams are picked in the lottery)
- 13th pick (three of the 11-14th worst teams are picked in the lottery)
