I wonder what catastrophe befell the Rays in that SIM.

Chris Carter with 125 RBIs? If that's any indicator, we're finishing last.

From the looks of it, just being in the AL East. 25-51 vs Division? Yikes.

How is it possible to be that average to bad in some categories like it shows there and then go out and win 91 games?

I know it's a SIM but if you're that average to bad overall, (30th in defense) then how do you win 91 games.

The 30th overall doesn't actually mean 30th overall in fielding stats or percentages, it means the average attributes related to defence.

For example, a guy with FIELDING of 99 (maximum) may commit 10 errors whereas a guy with a FIELDING of 70 might commit 5, simply due to the nature of baseball though.

In any case, this is one reason why video game SIMs are terribly flawed but that ain't breaking news

So the Rays have a run differential of -2 yet they finish 22 games under .500. They must have won quite a few blowouts.
