What a horrible day for my bracket! I had an all-Michigan championship game :(

Here's hoping UCONN beats out Florida!

Between Detroit's loss night and what happened today, the state of Michigan has done me dirty the past 24 hours :(

That last possession for Michigan was really perplexing to me. They had one timeout left. I don't understand why they didn't throw it in to half court, call that last timeout, and run an inbounds set from half court.

It was nice to see Calhoun, Andre Drummond and Rip Hamilton at the game and the tweet from Kemba was nice.

I'm happy no matter how things end because I felt UConn really needed a Final Four appearance to launch this new AAC conference into relevance and to keep top recruits interested in the program without a HOF coach.

And what can we say about Shabazz Napier and what he did in MSG to really embed himself in scouts minds? He is the quintessential workman to stick with the program all 4 years. He did so much to improve his draft stock by sticking in college all 4 years. He went from a fringe 2nd rounder to a first rounder. I'd be curious to see the reaction if UConn won the whole thing and he won Tourney MVP. Would he be in the lottery discussion? No matter. He did the right thing and he's going to get paid one way or the other. He's got one of the biggest hearts in UConn history and maybe college basketball history.

People will remember Shabazz Napier after this tournament. Other than Dayton, he's the most fascinating story line imo. He deserves all the attention he's getting. Shabazz Napier is now a household name.

And look at that UConn team in postgames photobombing and having fun, reminds me of the Bobcats. The chemistry there is really obvious and I think that helps sell the program to kids, doesn't hurt they played to roaring crowds in MSG on national television.

Let the dominance continue.

Really funny story.

My brother bet in an office pool.

He graduated UConn while Rudy Gay played there (we saw him coming out of the weight room one day). Our dad is so crazy during games his wife (my stepmother) has to leave the room. He's convinced the refs cheat whenever things don't go UConn's way and he can't relax at all unless the team is up 10. So we're a diehard UConn family.

Back to the office pool. It's for $400.

It was a survival pool where the one rule is you had to pick in the beginning one team that is a 5 seed or worse. When it came time to my brother's turn to pick, UConn was gone. He chose Kentucky.

So while he's rooting for Kentucky to advance each round he feels conflicted because UConn keeps chugging along.

He texted me he's worried they might meet in the finals.

He better not be in the TV room with my dad!!!
