Re: Biggest Sleeper for 2014 Draft?
im convinced kaminsky can play at the next level, great size, touch and a heady ball player.
at the very least he can stick on some bench for 10 years, but i do think he can be more than that too

Me too. He can contribute on any team, and might even start on a handful of them (i.e. Pelicans, Hawks, Jazz, etc.)

I like DeAndre Daniels. He's long and athletic. Good eye for team defense and he's crafty on offense. He also went to high school in my area (Taft) so I'll be rooting for him.
Could be really good with added strength.

I came into this thread to say that. I remember earlier in the season when he had 43 points in a game and I looked up to see who this guy was and I saw that he was a 7 footer, I thought "How come I haven't heard more about this guy?"
And then of course he manhandled AZ last night and is super clutch. He is skinny, but isn't Dirk? Obviously he's not on the level of Dirk but he could certainly have a role on an nba team. And maybe a big one.
I bet if he decided to come out this year he'd go first round (SOMEONE would be intrigued by him...someone like the Spurs would take him and everyone would groan). By next year though, scouts will wise up and he will be on the first round mocks.

I could definitely see him on the Spurs. No doubt about that.

Well, it looks like Frank Kaminsky made quite a name for himself tonight vs. Arizona.
He'd been totally ignored the majority of the season, though if people haven't seen deanondraft.com he's been mentioned there and it is worth the visit. Only 20 years old as a junior is another interesting note on him. For people that have seen more of him, is a four or five at the next level?
Either/or depending on who he played with. Probably more of a 4 who tried to have a game like Dirk's.

He could go upper 19's and if he makes it to miami selection I dont think they pass him up

Kaminsky won't start for any team.
2nd rounder, sure, a role as a stretch big, that's all.

Disagree completely. Kaminsky can do thee things that separates himself from a lot of big men. One, he can stretch the floor, two, can defend well and three, has a post game. Reminds me a lot of Brook Lopez, but Kaminsky can move better.
Most big men can rebound well, but Kaminsky can succeed because he can do everything else.

Re: Biggest Sleeper for 2014 Draft?
Kaminsky is 235lbs, being a 7 footer
He cant play Center in the NBA, or start for anything that matters unless you want to lose games.
He will be a good role palyer, because he is smart and can score, but with that level of strength, plus his narrow shoulders, he won't be able to start, at any point of his career.
Kaminsky at best could be a late 1st.

He is probably staying anyway. One of the few cases where staying is probably a good idea stock wise

Disagree. I don't see how he could improve much more on the offensive end without NBA level strength agility training. Defensively is where he needs to make strides, and I think college competition will only mask his deficiencies on this end.

What do you guys think of UMass PG Chaz Williams. He's extremely undersized at 5'7 but he has elite athleticism and a pretty well-rounded game. I think he can sneak into the second round with good workouts/combine and be a good energy guy off the bench.
