We want more than an expiring of course.

You're getting greedy. I'd perfectly fine dealing Smith and Jennings for Stoudemire's expiring contract.

Hmmm. Knicks with

Jennings
JR Smith
Melo
JSmooth
Chandler

Actually, not a bad team as Jennings is an improvement over Felton.

Lets say we get the 8th pick in the 2014 draft. Would you guys do this? (Even though I know most of you guys don't like Jennings and Smith, try to be open minded)

Pistons get: Green
Celtics get: Siva, Jerebko, Singler, 8th pick

Jennings
KCP
Smith/Green
Monroe
Drummond

We get more athleticism, shooting, and defense in our second unit. And for everyone that doesn't like Smith, guess what, if a good trade for Smith comes available we'll have good player ready to take his place in the starting line-up.

not a chance in hell.
Green isn't worth the 8th pick.

i've always thought something based around Smith for Green works for both teams. We'd have to take on either bass or Wallace and add Jerebko to make it worth their while, but something could be worked with that basic idea.
no way i'm giving up the pick for green though

Good lord, dat team... NY on suicide watch...
I like the idea of some kind of package for Jeff Green. Without the pick though.
So there's no way Boston pulls the trigger on this I guess...

Not enough Basketballs on the planet to sustain that team.

I would definitely follow that team, I gotta imagine there will be quite a few incidents happening with those players together.

If the Knicks were interested in launching a reality TV series rather than an actual team that would be an interesting trade for them to make.

Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

BULLS - KNICKS - PISTONS

BULLS get Pistons' 8th pick, JR Smith

KNICKS get Brandon Jennings, Carlos Boozer expiring

PISTONS get 2 1st round picks from Chicago, Iman Shumpert, Andrea Barnagni (expiring)

EDIT TO CLARIFY: Pistons would get #16 and #19 this year.

No

In this scenario we're left without a 1, and we give up a lottery pick for overrated Shumpert(who's had knee issue) and Barnagni(who's completely awful). Pistons won't do it.

What first round picks are you talking about? This year? next year? Further down the line? It can't be a Knicks pick, as their 2014 first round pick is already traded.

The Bulls picks would be in the bottom 20's of the first round. I feel like the Pistons may get fleeced here. They lose the 8th pick for bottom of the first round picks, and don't even get rid of Smith.

I'm not very high on Shumpert. Everyone gets a higher profile just for playing in NY. Plop him on the Cavs and his value is half of what it is.

Looks like 16 and 19 right now.
