marco could throw it down too. i remember him pulling 360's in games and stuff. i think young marco was a better leaper off of 1 foot.
stauskas can power up and throw down some nice dunks off of 2 feet, but when he carries his momentum to the cup without slowing down he's a below the rim finisher. stauskas might be an inch taller but i think marco's longer.
i'd like to see updated measurements, but a 6'7 wingspan on a 6'6 player is not good.

He is going to be one of the elite shooters in the league. I like Klay Thompson with worse defense or a taller more athletic JJ Redick as comparisons. Belinelli is a good one too although im not sure Nik has the playmaking ability that Marco does. But they are both crafty. In his prime if he reaches his max potential he could be a poor mans ray allen maybe.

If Nik wears the number 6 in the nba, his nickname would be Nikki Sixx Image

Nik's changes of speeds when driving really do remind me of Brandon Roy. And it hasn't been mentioned yet in this thread: Stauskas is a great passer. I think he is deserving of being drafted as early as the 7th pick. Don't think that will happen of course, though the board always changes from this point to the draft. I really hope Stauskas drops to the Bulls (Charlotte pick) but I'm starting to doubt it.

Nil is a sg with a great 3 pt shoot, some pg skill, and good length but a little slight. (I'm reserving judgement on athleticism until the combine)

At the high end Kobe and Manu are that type... But that's pretty unlikely. Marco bellelli is a fair comp on the much lower end.

When has defense ever been a requirement for a SG in todays NBA most productive SG are terrible defenders and the good defenders are mostly defensive specialists on the bench because they have no offense.

Sure you're not going to sit a guy like Harden because of his defense, but historically speaking the "elite" SGs (Kobe, Wade, even MJ) have been plus defenders as well as great offensive performers.

You mentioned 3 players one out of the league, Kobe on last legs and Wade injured to much to be productive. But today defense is a anomaly. Look at DeRozan a top SG but his defense isn't good but very average as a SG defensively heading towards a plus.

That's why I said "historically speaking." It's impossible to generalize anything about elite SGs right now since there's really only one elite SG in the league right now, Harden (and yeah, his defense is atrocious).

I get a Mike Dunleavy Jr. vibe from him. Great shooter, good size for his position, makes smart decisions, not great defensively, but aware and big enough to be adequate.

The only thing holding him back from being a Top 10 pick is his defense. The offensive package is really good though, a cross between Klay Thompson and Gordon Hayward. Can't see how he won't be an NBA starter at some point.

I think he has some Parsons in him. The way they slash off the dribble and their craftiness...along with their deceptive athleticism. I also like the Belinelli comparison as well.

There aren't many prospects I like in this draft more than Stauskas.

Wiggins, Parker, Embiid, Exum, Randle, maybe Vonleh and Gordon? I really think Stauskas is underrated at this point.

Mike Dunleavy couldnt drive past a stop sign, stauskas has more speed/explosion, much more lift and handling skills to get to the rim

I really wanted to avoid the generic white guy comparison but Dunleavy is the guy I think of most when watching him play.

Ginobili is probably his ceiling but I think he'll be more of a Dunleavy type.

Ginobili? are you kidding?
Manu was a terrific athlete, and his demeanor playing is Jordan-esque, absolutely fire competition, Stauskas is not that guy.

Nik will be a good player, a role player.

Rich man's JJ Redick; a little worse defensively, but he can put it on the floor, pass, shoot, and finish inside. Gonna be a great player.

I can see him being a 15-4-4 starter thats knockdown shooter in the NBA. I really hope the Knicks miss the playoffs (srry NYK fans) so the Magic can grab him at 12 or 13 and pair him with Oladipo.

His play making ability is def being underrated in this thread. He is not a bad athlete (actually a decent one vertically and strength wise) but his quickness will be troublesome defensively in the NBA. He really needs to be in the right defensive system with the right coach... But i know that can be said about many prospects both past and present

He's a 6th man when I see him play.
