Pargo vs Ridnour

Post#1 » by fatlever » Tue Apr 1, 2014 3:27 pm

Stats this year

Ridnour
17 games
225 minutes
2.9 ppg
1.9 apg
0.3 spg
33.8 fg%
16.7 3pt%
37.7 ts%
6.0 per
8/5 per 36

pargo
26 games
200 minutes
4.7 ppg
1.6 apg
0.4 spg
46.9 fg%
42.0 3pt
58.8 ts%
20.4 per
21/7 per 36

just how awful does ridnour have to play in order for pargo to at least get a look with the 2nd unit? we all know pargo isnt the best solution, but i just can't believe that he would be worse than what we are getting with ridnour.

the excuse that ridnour is rusty does fly with me. he has had 17 games to shake off the rust. he looks as bad today as he did a month ago.

Jannero Pargo got my vote (over Luke Ridnour)...and almost had my vote over Ramon Sessions before the trade

I can't explain it. Ridnour has been playing like irredeemable crap.

Finding a legitimate backup for Kemba will be key this offseason. It was the same net negative problem when Sessions was on board, but Ridnour is taking it to epic proportions in being a incapable reserve

after a massive scouting process (I watched 2 youtube videos, well scanned through them anyhow) I vote for picking up Josh Magette from the D league. He's always been the underdog and a real competitor (I read it somewhere)

He gets 7 assists to 1.7 turnovers, shoots plenty of 3s at 37% and gets 2 steals a game.

Get him to be the energetic pesty backup, let Pargo be the main backup for 5-10 games and axe whichever veteran does worse.

At the moment that would easily be Ridnour. If Pargo was told not to chuck every chance he gets, I'm sure he would change his game to fit what the coach wants.

Luke turns ducks into bucks according to Wale.....i wonder if he meant the bricks he shoots hit ducks in midair and kills them and then he sells those dead ducks to make money

Re: Clifford seeing value in Ridnour passes. What passes? The ones he throw to the other team? I bet Pargo average more assist than Ridnour for us using per 36.

Edit: I see fats already posted the per 36 and I was right.

It is absolutely time for Pargo to get all of Luke's minutes. Better scorer, just as capable of a passer and not a drop off defensively.

Get the dude in there

I think Ridnour is a better passer, he's just so much worse at everything else.

They are both terrible defenders. One passes better, one shoots better. Depends what kind of player you want off the bench. Zeller and CDR are probably better off playing with Ridnour.

Kendall Mashall, come on down....

I'd LOVE a pass 1st PG on the roster as our back up.

Marshall would actually be perfect.
