Hibbert on losing the No. 1 seed to Miami: "Good for them. We don't deserve it."

lmaoo this dude won't shut up

why are you chirping hibbert? I don't like him as much as the next guy but that answer was not only true but he wasn't insulting Miami at all. he was (accurately) saying with how poorly they've played lately they have no right being the 'best' team in the eastern conference.

Uh, you have that the other way around. Indiana most definitely has a harder schedule down the stretch than us. 4 of their last 7 games are road games, including us and the Raptors, then they host OKC as their penultimate game. 7 of our last 10 are home games, the hardest of which are against the Knicks and Nets not counting the Pacers, and the only tough road game we have is at Memphis. We can very easily end the season 9-1 or 8-2 while the Pacers end it 4-3.

The pacers are bad but they are perfectly comfortable with the 2 seed trust me, better matchups right now. But they likely wouldn't even beat Bobcats at this point.

That will never happen now especially with us being tied in the loss column with the Pacers. Really this Pacers team is a joke. This isn't arrogance on my part but we gave them a head-start, we have taken multiple games off, rested Wade freely, and still they are tied with us. If this Pacers team were serious about beating us they would be up an easy 4-5 game lead on us by now.

If we beat them again this year (which I think we will) hopefully ESPN and Stephen A. Smith won't start the next season with bold proclamations of Indiana being the best in the East and giving them insane coverage and interviews where the Pacers can boldly say that "We would have won last year if game 7 was on our floor and this year we are going for HCA" X 10.

Edit: The Pacers are currently 52-22 and most likely won't win their last 8 to get to 60 wins. Think about that. In a season with a historically weak East, Miami treating the RS like a preseason, and them coming out with a vengeance they are going to fall short of 60 wins. Now it is possible and likely that in the playoffs they will play better and give us an extremely tough series which they might even win but I am confident in saying that this team is not beating whichever team they face in the Finals. Not even a chance. You can bet that the WCF winner will be hoping for Indiana to come out not Miami.

We could do it the following way:

vs. Milwaukee - rest LeBron and Bosh
vs. Minnesota - rest LeBron
vs. New York - rest Bosh
vs. Brooklyn - play everybody
vs. Memphis - rest Wade
vs. Indiana - play everybody
vs. Atlanta - rest Wade and LeBron
vs. Washington - rest Bosh
vs. Philadelphia - rest everybody

If we sit both Bron and Bosh against Milwaukee, they'll have several days off and with LeBron even sitting against Minnesota, he'll have pretty much the entire week off before facing New york on Sunday. Wade will have had enough rest to play until the Memphis game and will avoid the second night of back-to-backs. Everybody has several days off between games while still keeping a good rhythm and playing those guys necessary to beat the good teams. This way we remain competitive and don't have to push any of our stars.

Not confident having only Wade against the Bucks. He sometimes plays like he doesn't want to be there, even after rest. But I agree with everything else

LeBron played poorly against Milwaukee and we still won. If you're fine with only having Bosh against Atlanta, you should have no problem with only having Wade against Milwaukee, since the Bucks are worse and Wade is still the better player.

I will savor the 1st seed while we have it, outstanding accomplishment after what we've been through
I won't get cocky and make any predictions

cant jack up jumpers all game and expect calls, you're not OKC, makes no sense.

I'm not saying we didn't get any calls on the offensive end. I'm saying the refs will call any little touch or breath of air on Lebron making it impossible to play defense.

No the Heat are just better then the Raptors.

Wade and Allen didn't play btw.

Okay, that doesn't take away the fact that the refs pretty much gave you that win with all those phantom calls.

Anyways, good game, I guess. I'm not gonna bother arguing since you guys are obviously in favor of those unfair calls.

I am a Raptors fan and I completely disagree. Someone who fits that description is Kevin Durant. Lebron James rarely gets the 50/50 calls.

Bottom line they kept whining about home court advantage and publicly said that was their goal.

There were reports how every game they are focused and all that bull.
They are NOT comfortable being the second seed because that was their primary goal and were pounding their chest in January.

This messed with their psyche big time. And I love it.

Obv I still expect them to be in the ecf, but it's always fun to see a rival's goal become incomplete. Especially when they prematurely were celebrating.
