I disagree. I doubt he's a target because his skill set is similar to MCW, but Kyle is a player that stats/analytics types really like. For instance, stat-head/draft guru Layne Vashro does an excellent predictive model (http://t.co/bTCAhItxGD) for draft prospects. Last year, he had Noel #1, MCW #3, and Kazemi #20. In this year's model, SloMo is second only to Embiid.

but but but..... Hinkie only drafts the most athletic players. At least, that's what we concluded after 1 draft in which a known analytics guru took the analytics BPA at both #6 and #11. You're trying to tell me there's more to basketball than raw athletic ability?

Hahaha right. It's important to remember that Noel and MCW were prospects that were toolsy AND skilled. Both posted awesome non-scoring statistics including the almighty steals rate. There's no evidence to suggest that Hinkie values athleticism over skill-level, but rather that he values them in tandem.

Embiid is a better prospect but what if Noel/Embiid don't mesh together. That automatically lowers both their trade value. And both have injury concerns. Just wouldn't be smart to take Embiid #2.

I think they mesh fine but even if they felt that way I think we'd take exum

Ok that makes sense. But he looks so darned weak in the videos I've seen of him. Any concern that as he adds muscle weight he will lose some of his quickness/explosiveness?

Personally, I would be looking hard at Parker if he declares and Wiggins is off the board. If Parker stays in school, I think I would flip a coin on Embiid and Exum. Either one could be a superstar or a bust IMO. Way too much use of the word "potential" with both of them.

It would be interesting to see if Exum could co-exist in a backcourt with MCW though. Just as it would be interesting to see if Embiid could co-exist in a frontcourt with Noel.

18 year olds tend to look skinny. I think he and Wiggins will eventually "fill out" in a good way.

I would have no issue if they took Jabari over Exum. Jabari probably "fits" this team better than Exum does because it is a legitimate concern if MCW and Exum can share the ball.

Trade #4 is not worth it for the 76ers. For teams over the cap, the #32 pick is better than the #27 pick, because it is one less guaranteed salary against the cap. The Clippers would probably swap those picks for 100K.

Trade #3: Memphis is going to make the playoffs. They wont have the #14 pick. And teams arent going to trade their own 1st round picks on draft night. That impacts trades they can do the next year, with picks. Teams select players for other teams, to get around this. So there is no way trade #3 could happen.

I don't want Embiid. Exum hasn't played against anyone. Parker, Wiggins and Randle are my choices I want. They are the best players and to me the safest.

To me this is what makes this draft class intriguing....besides the quality of the top tier prospects, you can literally talk yourself/be talked into anyone in the top 5 or so and feel good about them.

I know Wiggins is the most coveted of the bunch,and I want him badly for the Sixers.But in 5 years, anyone of the kids listed in the consensus top 5 could very well be the best player in the draft and a superstar.
