is it really elite is the thing I've wondered about. does he really excel athletically when compared to other power forwards?

maybe the whole thing is over-blown just because he's white.

I wouldn't consider Zeller's athleticism elite unless he was posterizing defenders left & right. Instead, he tends to get blocked & thrown to the ground. His combine numbers for his size might be considered upper echelon but he doesn't translate it into actual games, not even in college. I would say that Zeller is agile more than athletic

Not sure why anyone bothers with Bobcats Baseline.

two years ago (or even last year) we would have been dead last in their rankings, so i guess that's a sign of progress (at least in the eyes of the all-mighty espn talking heads)

i am surprised to see the sixers ranked below us. i thought most of the analysts were in love with what philly has done this year.

I think I'm more surprised to see the Sacramento Kings & New Orleans Pelicans above Charlotte. I would like to read their explanation for such when the Bobcats have a better record and future outlook considering cap space while both of those teams are burdened with virtually the same team the next few years

MJ has done a great job considering what he inherited. He inherited debt and a dog sh** run franchise. They really have turned it around on the community side of things.

Also nobody would be questioning Cho had we won Anthony Davis. As would people be questioning Sam Presti if Seattle had the 5th pick in that draft and not the 2nd, and selected a guard which meant no Harden or Westbrook

how does a owner go from losing 20 million a season to taking them in to the black and is the 28 worse owner in the league. clearly he is doing something right.

Thew new CBA had a ton to do with that, but its mainly just the perception that MJ has always been a bad owner/executive.

MJ was a huge advocate amongst owners for the new CBA.

He took heat for his (vocal) view on the matter.

Rich Cho on the Bobcats and the ‘Pleasant Surprise’ of Big Al

Charlotte Bobcats General Manager Rich Cho joins the Mac Attack to discuss the Bobcats season, pushing for the playoffs and refuses to tamper.

On Steve Clifford: You never know how a coach is going to be until you get him and hiring a coach is one of the hardest things to do in the business. We did a lot of background work on Steve when we were looking at coaches and everything checked out great and he’s been a great addition. He and his staff have done a tremendous job and they’ve set the tone here of extending a great culture among the guys. He’s got the guys playing and working hard and they love playing for him.

On Al Jefferson: Al’s had a great year. He’s been in the league a long time, since he came out of high school and I think he’s been a pleasant surprise for sure, but this is the kind of year we were hoping he’d have.

On Michael Kidd-Gilchrist: He’s one of the youngest players in the league. People forget he’s only 20 years old and doesn’t turn 21 until September. He’s got some work to do on offense, but he’s one of the best wing defenders in the league. When he comes into the game he gives us energy and gives us something a lot of the other guys can’t provide. He’s a work in progress and a very hard worker and this off-season is going to be big for him.

How come Cho & his Cho-Net computer system didn't tell him to make a move for Kenneth Faried when he was available at bargain value on the trade market?

I would rather have Faried over any of the available free-agents of 2014 as well as any draft pick that's projected to be available at #24th overall

Kinda disappointing considering that the best trades Cho has pulled off is for the DET pick and McBob. I was expecting some kinda mad scientist method where he'd be able to draft, sign, and trade for players that would instantly turn into stars based on his analytics.

Sadly, I'd have to agree. I think Ujiri is the real mad computer scientist. I'm looking at what he's done for the Raptors financially a la cap space in just one year after being handed a horrible situation from Colangelo, and I'm amazed, especially considering that he didn't even have to tank a couple years to turn that Raptors franchise around
