Brandon Knight.
Jenning is still an Inefficient chucker who doesn't fight threw screens.

The answer is Khris Middleton.

Re: Better player this year out of Jennings and Knight?
I can't say I watched a ton of Jennings play this year, but considering he put up pretty much the same #s and his team vastly underachieved I'd have to go with Knight. I know Knight is kind of love/hate around here but the guy does have the ability to score, fairly decent defender, good attitude, and then obviously younger/cheaper. I don't think Knight is a good PG but he could be a decent SG and/or scoring 6th man.

Definitely. If Jennings/Knight was equal, Middleton definitely tips it our way.

Not to mention Jennings vs. Knight's contract...the mere fact that the Pistons are locked into BJ at 8 million for 3 years makes it a LANDSLIDE in our favor.

In a toilet bowl of turds, which one looks the best?
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Knight. He's the harder worker.

My thoughts exactly. Going into the season I figured Jennings would be better with "finishers" around him. Wrong. Detroit is a mess. And I don't like Brandon Knight either. Khris Middleton will be a nice rotation guy for 5-7 years. We win the trade.

You say this... but we could still sign Knight to an similar contract that would be equally awful.

Re: Better player this year out of Jennings and Knight?
Knight IMO is a chucker like Jennings. Difference is, he's more likable and works harder. Jennings has the I don't give a **** look too often on the court and pouted like a school girl when things didn't go his way. Knight has no feel for the PG position and I'm sorry, I don't want to build around an undersized, 6'2" SG who's streaky and thinks he's a PG.
We're going to turn this team around 360 degrees.

Brandon Knight and it's not even close. Efficiency, cost, and attitude are all factors in favor of him over BJ-swag. The only thing you could even possibly argue is that Jennings is a slightly better distributor based on raw assist numbers, but even then that isn't saying much.
People need to remember how close we were to signing him and Josh Smith to those same mega-deals that Detroit did

Knight. No ego, works hard, still young and cheap, and his development and learning on the job PG skills have helped the tank.
I assumed Jennings would improve this year with a change of scenery. Stupid me. He's got some tools, no motivation or work ethic to improve his weaknesses.

This doesn't really answer the question of who has been better this year, but Knight has about 2 inches and 20 pounds on Jennings. If everything else is the same (which it's not), I'll take the bigger guy.

Jennings would literally be the last player in the league that I'd want on my team.

Re: Better player this year out of Jennings and Knight?
Jennings had roughly 2 weeks of solid play this season. Other than that he's shooting career lows and he's been benched numerous times during games and he recently was ejected from a game with no apparent care or remorse. He's quite possibly the worst starting PG in the league. Brandon Knight has put up decent numbers in the second half of the season but for this past week where he's had 3 duds. He's played out of position and he's small to be a 2. He should be coming off the bench in a scoring role. All that aside, hands down Knight has had a better season - he's actually improved and demonstrated he has value in The League. I don't think a single team in the league wants Jennings.

Fingers crossed there is new ownership / management in place this summer to bring some level of sanity to that process. (Personally, I shop him and Henson for the best deal we can get...)

yep.
just sheer game theyre in the same ballpark. but even as a chucker knight is likeable and makes you want to root for him on a personal level. Jennings is a fake thug chucker with the worst attitude/body language in the league. I absolutely despise him and have since the month after the high from the 55pt game wore off.
