Agreed, the Cavs fired their GM. At-least Hammond can draft better than Ernie, he walked away with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nate Wolters.

I hate to see what it would have been had the Wizards not made the Gortat and Miller acquisitions to have a season of semi-respectable play.

I assume they took into consideration the fact that EG made a couple of "hail mary" passes.

He bet on Maynor - FAIL
He couldn't have thought Okafor would go down.

He bet the farm on Gortat
He got lucky with Miller because of issues in Denver
He got lucky that Gooden was in our backyard. Did anyone expect his high level of production?

We got lucky with injuries this season. All teams deal with this, but imagine if any of Wall / Beal / Ariza / Gortat went down.

I played blackjack in Vegas a few years ago. I won 1k the first day...I thought I was a baller. The next day I was down 1k. Finally I said 'f@ck it...go hard or go home and did one hand double or nothing and I got blackjack...so I left with more money. However that was not skill...it was luck. That is our season. There is no long game with this organization.

Don't tell your friends the entire story... just tell them that you went to Vegas and came back big :)

Don't tell you fans that you were lucky - just tell them that you are in the playoffs...

Either way - if my friend wins in LV, I am happy for him.

If the Wiz get in the playoffs, be happy.

I am even happier if my friend realizes it was luck in LV - I won't have to bail him out - cause he ain't going again.

For the Wiz - just hoping for somemore luck.

Coaches:

Wittman is 24.

So... our owner is 20, our coach is 24, our GM is 26... overall score: 26???? Weird.

With their powers combined, our front office can descend to greater depths of incompetence than any one of them could working as an individual.

Oh, except EG. He doesn't need any help.

Moral of the story, the suck of EG is pulling the entire franchise down. There is a pretty big significant between the Wizards and the next worst team.

Interesting how Randy Wittman has a lower score than Rick Adelman and Monty Williams. Neither of their rosters are making the playoffs. But yeah. I guess they know like we know that Randy is questionable.

Yep, something's not adding up, or else they are clumped into tiers, with Terd and Witt at the top of a tier and EG at the bottom of a tier, with their rankings skewing perception of the actual scores. But, 20, 24, or 26, it doesn't really fill me with confidence.

Yep, you don't get anywhere unless the coach and GM are both top 15... certainly not bottom 10.
