He has not developed whatsoever on offense.

It's not disappointing if you completely ignore it.

I'm not ignoring anything. He barely touches the ball on offense. He has a pretty solid handle and can finish really well around the rim with dunks and layups. He also has a knack for cutting and is already strong taking it to the basket. You are ignoring the fact that he is arguably the most important player on our roster. I know everyone is going to freak out that I don't think Big Al is, but we played way better without Al than we did without MKG and MKG is the future of this franchise. Spending money on a new starting SF and moving the most talented player on our roster to the bench when we already have two other legit SF's that compliment MKG's weaknesses is kind of a crazy notion in my opinion..

Not sure if this has been mentioned, but for next season I don't want Ridnour to come back of course, and I don't necessarily want Sessions either.

What about Patty Mills as our backup PG? Guy is ripping the Thunder as we speak, and we all know what he does to us.. He makes 1.3 million this year. Id give him a Sessions type deal that we did 2 years ago. 2/10

I wouldn't mind sessions back but I would prefer a larger PG.

The Spurs ain't letting Patty Mills walk. I wouldn't mind bringing in AJ Price that just got waived by Minny as a backup PG if we don't draft one. I remember he was pretty good for the Pacers and had a couple 20 point games. And he's friends with Kemba so that won't hurt chemistry.

It don't get much larger at PG than Sessions who was 6'3" unless you want Shaun Livingston.

Money talks.. Its a possibility they could let him walk and just plug someone else in.

If they did let him walk we better take a look at him.

I've always liked Patty since St. Mary's so I'm on that bandwagon if he's a legit possibility.

Meanwhile I just want for us to look at cheap options that have game that won't mind playing less than 15-20 minutes a game without getting disgruntled. We were paying Sessions $6 mil and he was barely cracking 20 minutes most nights with a healthy Kemba unless we went small in which I hate.

Spurs match easily. I think he could get 4-5 per in the off season. That guy can score at will. In both of our match ups this season with the Spurs he outplayed Walker BY FAR in one of them, and basically did in the second one as well if I remember correctly. Ill have to check.

I want more of a true point guard as a back up, Mills is a scoring guard.
I haven't watched him for a while, but Pop's used to play him at 2 guard off the bench. That's why he averages less than 2 assists a game.

I like Livingston and Vazquez as we can put Neal on the backup point guard so he isn't abused by his size.

Sessions and Livingston are our best options imo.

As much as I don't like his hero ball antics, Sessions' value has been shown by having Ridnour replacing him.

I think Cho should maybe think about using our capspace to absorb a (short) contract+pick.

As nice as Stephenson or Hayward would be, there is no use killing our future flexibility for guys who aren't world beaters, when we could use our flexibility to gain assets on the teams entering act 2 of tankapalooza.

If we were still in the basement, I'd say that our FO should swing for the fences but we're not, it's a fine line between being a treadmill team and being on the bubble with upside.

Absorbing a bad contract for a pick is something a tanking team does. I think you've got it backwards. Were on the bubble with upside so we need to look for that final piece like a lance Stephenson. A bad contract and a pick is swinging for the fences more than offering an established talent a contract is.

Livingston is my favorite free agent idea. I just don't see how Brooklyn lets him get away, he's been very important to them this year.

$$$$$$$$$$

I don't see them paying many more millions for a team that is probably going to be a declining first-round exit team. Retaining Livingston could create a pretty hellish luxury tax bill.

Vasquez would probably be my preferred and ideal option as a backup PG thru free agency this offseason. He has size to play alongside Kemba, they know each other from doing Under Armour promo together, he's pass-first and can score if need be.

I agree. We are on the cusp of contention. The trick will be to bring in Lance Stephenson and somehow salvage Gerald Henderson who costs money and would be difficult to move outside of a dump.

Maybe hide him at backup SF???

2014-2015 Charlotte Hornets

Cody Zeller-PF
Al Jefferson-C

yep. That's the team right there. With improvements to Kemba, MKG, and Cody, that team threatens the eastern conference finals within two years
