With a little luck, Miami could face ideal path to finals

If you think GSW are coming out of the West you haven't being watching this NBA season.

Contrary to what many believe, I take Miami over any team in the West (yes, even SA) in a 7 game series and I think Indiana, Chicago and Brooklyn can give any team out West fits during a seven game series as well. The West has plenty of scoring teams that shows great during the regular season but at the end of the day only SA, OKC, LAC and Memphis can play good enough defense also to win during the playoffs.

This West vs LEast crap is overrated. Regular season storyline. At the end , the East top teams can go toe to toe against the West top 4. The rest is average-to-crap. The West just happens to have better average-to-crap teams than the East.

A first round match up vs. the Nets, I imagine, would be the biggest concern. A lot of playoff experience & they seem to have the Heat's number.

Ideal path? Were already in it. Were in the eastern conference, where the #3 seed (Toronto 43-32) is 1 game behind the #9 seed in the West (Phoenix 44-31).

Having said that, if Chicago pulls the 3rd seed, it would make things a bit easier along the way.

We can beat the Brooklyn Nets quite easily. They usually catch us when we're not focused. Come playoff time, it's a whole new season. Ask Paul Pierce how things turned out in 2010-2011. The Nets aren't that special right now. I'm not impressed with them.
