Looking forward to this game. I think the Heat are taking it personally that we've beaten them 3 times. I also think they have every incentive to win this game, since they're currently in a battle with Indiana for the 1 seed.

So I'm going to be a pessimist and assume we're going to lose...but I'm expecting a competitive game. And if we somehow manage to win...I don't know how much more proof people would need that we're an extremely dangerous team come playoff time.

The Heat are going to come for this one. We beat them three times; this will probably be the most difficult matchup of the season vs the Heat. If we win, it will definitely be the biggest win of the season by far and heading into the playoffs, we will have a ton of momentum.

Prediction

Nets: 99 Heat 98

I'm going to say we keep it tight for 3 and a quarter quarters then lose by double digits when Miami flips the switch around the 9 minute mark in the 4th.

This is the first time playing them i think they actually care about winning. they want to keep the one seed and flex their muscle and let us know they are the superior team. and its on the road.

i think this is an epic blowout. something like 101-66 miami

Yeah I'd say we lose by 19 or better. Kidd's tendency to put in line ups that are god awful will also compound the fact that there are people on this team who are quick to lay down on the road.

This team is not averse to allowing themselves to be humiliated on national television when on the road.

All these posts about how the Heat are going to blow us out for beating them three times is very similar to when we beat them two times.

those games were basically irrelevant for miami who was coasting. now its the stretch run and they need to keep pace to keep that #1 seed.

us beating them 3 times and losing is kind of like when the knicks/bulls domianted the heat in the regular seaosn only to get embarassed when the games mattered

Yeah. LBJ even circled that 3rd game because we also beat him in the pre-season. He wasn't cruising for that one.

I'm not worried. Nets have been proving MDB and Prok wrong all year. I'd be more worried if they predicted us to win since they're consistently wrong

yes, they have been proving us wrong. which is why we have more wins then last year and are a top 3 seed and won the divison.

oh... wait

You didn't even think the Nets would make the playoffs at one point, or be above .500 at another. You thought that Alan Anderson was more valuable than Deron Williams. Those are things you were proven wrong about

We've been mediocre for the past two weeks. I think miami takes this one because of it. Hope i'm proven wrong, though.

I hope that my prediction is wrong and that the Nets win, so I won't have to come back onto this page and rip into MGrand for being an obnoxious prick who is only concerned with other people being wrong instead of the team

I'll say this to you one last time since you're awfully slow: I am glad the Nets proved me wrong.

Hopefully, they will prove me wrong in this case, and in the playoffs because I am fearful that not having HCA will come back to haunt them with the way guys on this team quit while facing adversity on the road

My life is pretty good, and I feel fortunate and blessed. Project your inane insecurities on someone else.

Seems like a few people can't take a non homering opinion so now they want to talk ****. Fine by me.

exactly. not thinking we will destroy the 2 time defending champs in their own building during their playoff tune up doesnt depress me. its called living in the real world.

You said we would win 6 games the rest of the way back on March 1st. They blew past that prediction. You can't get mad when others are annoyed.

Predicting a 45 point loss is living in the real world? Predicting a 20 point loss I understand but a historical beatdown? With the way we've been playing? Come on sir.

I'm all for realistic predictions. I'm just saying that maybe you and MDB are like reverse-jinxes. And yeah, I'll continue to bring up your past ridiculous predictions (like that 6-21 predictions or Prok's below .500 prediction) because they were hilarious predictions at the time and continue to look worse and worse by the day.
