I love all these blowout wins over the Flakers even more after reading how CP was treated again at Dodger Stadium. I hate Laker fans more than I do Giant fans, to be honest.

yup that picture speaks thousand words and more.

too bad that after next season DJ will become another Max player. just gotta hope that DTS is willing to pay a lot of tax money when the flakers are wimping out, be the next great LA basketball team for the next decade.

but the reality maybe that we won't have room between CP - Blake - DJ all becoming max players to have much else around them.

DJ Not Worth the Max

DeAndre Jordan is worth more to the Clippers than any other team, but to be honest, he's not worth a max contract. He's only now showing his worthiness of his current contract, which we matched because of Golden State's offer sheet.

I understand what you're saying in that his agent will demand such figures, but I hope everyone can come to the realization that DJ is a product of the system even as he is a great fit in that system. He's still lacking in certain aspects, so I'm conflicted in not wanting to overly commit to DJ nor do I want to see him go.

true, but that picture of having DJ leading the league in rebounds and field goal % as the only other player since Wilt and the other guy to do it is named Dwight, DJ's agent will ask for Dwight's money and there will be a desperate rebuilding team who needs to meet the floor cap limits to dish that money out.
hopefully DJ and Doc have enough of understanding and trust to make something reasonable happen to help the team as well as DJ, but wouldn't be a bad idea to draft a unrefined athletic center with high ceiling in late 1st rounds to learn from DJ just in case. SFs are much cheaper on free agency than a center of starting caliber.
ehhhhh f it.

Ryan Kelly

Post#48 » by Ranma » Sun Apr 6, 2014 10:15 pm

I'll admit that I was hoping the Clips would somehow secure a second-round pick in the 2013 NBA draft to get Ryan Kelly as I envisioned him as a nice stretch four off the bench. Good to hear Hubie Brown give the kid a little praise even if his statline isn't exactly impressive.

I'm happy that we took care of business and won. Now we get a few days off and take on the Thunder Wednesday.
I've been an LA Clipper fan since 1998 and that will never change. I hate our new logo and jerseys!

Wish we didn't start slow lazy vs bad teams.

But do love how we start 3rd quarters.

i love DJ, i've gotten him in my fantasy league since his rookie year... but i'm not sorry to say that he's farrrrrr from a max contract.

he's actually where he should be at now for his next contract but we had to overpay or lose him to gsw... he's a 10-12mill player... unfortunately unless something drastic happens... we won't be able to afford him in 2015+.

i won't be surprised if we draft the best athletic big available. But for now, let's win 2 'ships with what we have. lol

LOL at the Lakers thread:

viewtopic.php?f=19&t=1313814

They're basically trashing Clipper fans saying we're helping them tank and that they'll sweep us next year. Especially that two-faced DEEP3CL clown. Oh, the hilarity of those jokers.
