Fine, he isn't a trash rebounder. He's just bad. His overall TRB% indicates that. He's slightly better at defensive rebounding, but overlal he's still pretty bad.
No, he isnt bad. he is actually good. and among reserves centers, he is very good. TRB% is irrelevant to our rebounding issues, as they are on the defensive end and have nothing to do with offensive rebounding. The problem is at PF, not center and thats glaringly obvious. its pierce/mirza/AK being undersized at PF.
And I never said Blatche was the reason we suck at rebounding. He IS part of the problem though. Along with pierce, Mirza and even Joe.
he isnt part of the problem.
My biggest problem is with Plumlee actually who's supposed to be an energy guy and is horrendously bad on the boards. And has been so all season and I have yet to see any improvement.
plumlee is not great. he is also isint terrible on the defensive glass. and to call it horrendous is just silly. he isnt a good rebounder, but he is also a rookie, and their are much bigger issues at the 4. replacinig plumlee with Hill isnt going to solve any rebounding issues.
i mean im not sure why you are arguing this... i mean its clear as day. if we have MAJOR rebounding issues with the league best defensive rebounder(KG) on the floor, then clearly rebounding at center isnt the problem. Pierce is a major issue, mirza is a major issue(especially if his shot isnt falling cause his effort elsewhere tends to go in those instances).
thats just something you need to live with when you play small. We rebound well at center. upgrading our backup center's rebounding a few percentage points isnt going to put a dent in the problem. thats like taking a 2 block shortcut to try and save gas on a 25 mile trip to work in the morning.
