I miss Knight. I was always one of his biggest fans on here whilst he was a Piston.

Jennings has had quite a few of his passes featured on NBA.com.

Great dunk by Knight though.

That Phoenix game was so much fun, definitely the best game of the season. That was the one where Jennings had 16 assists in the first half.

Man I love watching Jennings before Cheeks was fired!

I think he could be a player of the Hill's level or even better, he's a perfect fit with a perimeter all star player who could handle the ball.

I could see that happening.

That wasn't me defending him. I was just correcting you, because regardless of how the season played out you can't say Jennings didn't have a lot of great highlights. Producing great highlights was about all this team was good for this year. At least give them that.

again said out of sarcasm, defending him was pointless

Lol that was a sick dunk. He must have seen that gif of him getting killed by DeAndre Jordan a few too many times and decided it was time to bulk up in the offseason and seek revenge on someone. Poor V though.

You probably remember Goldtop, he's literally the 2.0 version of him.

Hell, he probably is him since their posting styles are too similar.

I can't stand to watch this type of basketball especially since we are suppose to be a blue collar team, not no defense chucking team. i'll be back on it as the draft nears

I miss Brandon Knight too. I was one of the guys who thought he needed more time to develop. In fact, I still believe he'll be an effective pro in years to come. It is clear there are areas of the game where he struggles. He clearly is not a pg who understands the nuances of the position or exhibits a "feel" for the flow of the game.

That being said, he can develop that understanding and add it to his strengths. The kid was bursting with intangibles: intelligence, toughness, athletic ability, and a tremendous work ethic. Granted we were not the ideal situation for him with our inability to develop you talent and our absence of a vet worth his salt to get the most out of BK.

Looking at what Cheeks (player development coach masquerading as a head coach) was able to do with Stuckey and Jennings, I believe he would have been good for BK (while sucking for the rest of the team). I think Milwaukee is a good spot for him with their young squad and head coach. I think a small core of those guys will develop well together. I also think Larry Drew will be able to help that team avoid losing 60+ games next year (baby steps lol).

I'm concerned about what we will look like next season. I'm guardedly optimistic about what a front office and coaching face lift will look like for the Pistons. We have to choose right.

Right GM.
Right coach.
Right draft pick.
Right trade partners.

I was actually perfectly fine with Jennings before Cheeks got fired. Granted, it was a necessity because he Cheeks didn't know what he was doing.

Jennings tweeted something about Cheeks being fired and how he was hurt by it. He must have really liked him, and was torn when he got canned, so his response is playing like he doesn't care. It does send a message, but isn't a fair thing to do.

Maybe our new coach in the summer will make him feel alive again.

It sends a message about his maturity level. It reminds me of Steve Francis who pouted after Cutino Mobley was traded from the Magic. Dude talked about not knowing how he was going to go on.

It sends a message about his mental toughness. It reminds me of Mo Williams who talked about retiring after LeBron James left the Cavs in free agency.

It sends a message about his basketball IQ. It reminds me that Jennings was crazy dependent on Cheeks to have everyday 2 hour film sessions with him to aid his development. I'm curious why Jennings can't take what he's learned and continue to study film.

Immature
Soft
Stupid

Those are not endearing qualities for a floor general.

Terrible trade.

But am I crazy to wonder if Jennings could be a nice point with the right coach and team around him?
Comments to rationalize bad contracts -
1) It's less than the MLE
2) He can be traded later
3) It's only __% of the cap
4) The cap is going up
5) It's only __ years
6) He's a good mentor/locker room guy

The problem with jennings is that even though he becomes a great offensive pg, he'll never be decent defensively.

I wish he would learn how to shoot.
