I dont like Bosh.

Let me restate that. I REALLY dont like Bosh.

With that being said, it is an intriguing idea having him on the Suns. I think he could actually help us out next season. What would be really cool is if we could make a S&T with Miami for him before they re-sign Lebron and god willing we had the cash, convince Lebron that a Bledsoe/Dragic/Lebron/Bosh/Len team would be better than whatever Miami could throw together. Tell him that it would really cement his legacy by bringing a title to a team that has never won one.

/End of pipe dream.

For real, i think Bosh would actually be a great addition should we strike out trying to acquire Love.

Sacrificing his game for the team brought the Heat many championships. Bosh isnt new to the team game.

He would fit like a glove here.

The "star in Phoenix" could only work with a substantial reff support, and i don't think Bosh will get many of that without LeClown, while he will for sure try to succumb the rest of the squad to play for his personal statsheet (or as you say it - to take over the team). I think the potential end result of such a move from the Suns is clear enough (see Bosh's Raptors). I'm not underestimating his skills, but at the same time don't think sacrificing the team game for one guy will bring the trophy to the desert.
I really want to see this team untouched for a few years. These guys have the potential to make the Suns the most fun team to watch once again and to give hell in the playoffs to every league-cradled bunch of clowns.

Leave this team untouched? We have NO post presence!!!

Come playoff time we're gonna want somebody we can throw it down to. Someone that can create their own shot and slow the game down when need be.

Heck, we don't even really have a consistent #1 scoring option either.

I love this team and the way it's going, but it still needs some work!

But that is why Bosh would be so good here. He is a star, but a team player who brings excellence in almost every area of the game. Bosh doesn't have the big head that LeBron or even Wade has. He has spent years now as the third wheel without complaint.

I really hope he opts out. He IS the guy.

That said, with our recent success, it's safe to say we are now a desirable destination again.

I think typically Phoenix has been more desirable than NY and Chicago because of the weather. But right now I think Chicago might be near the top because they are close to contention. NY has the big city and Jackson appeal, but I don't know that it is desirable for everyone.

The problem is, there are not really that many stars that are free agents AND young. You basically have to wait 8-10 years for any stars to become completely unrestricted. The only guy who really fits that is Kevin Love. The past few years it was Paul and Howard, and 4 years ago it was the big three in Miami.

Who else is a star and is somewhat close to getting through that second contract?

Carmelo Anthony, Chris Bosh, Dwayne Wade, LeBron James, Russel Westbrook, Kevin Love, Marc Gasol and Kevin Durant are all set to be UFA within 2 years I believe.

Yes, but most of those guys are in their 3rd contract and are getting up there in age. Westbrook is only in year 1 or 2 of his second contract. Durant would be a free agent before him. Gasol would be nice to get.

Yea my bad, I should have said within 3 years.

Not a Bosh fan either but signing him would allow to keep our assets rather than trading for Love. Problem is his max is 24m a year. Still don't see the big 3 breaking up.

Monroe has no outside shot. He would have to play as a C in our system, therefore replacing Plumlee or Len. Don't think that's the way to go.

I haven't watched him enough to have an informed opinion, but have brought him up before. Others talked about his game, one being JDLAW and he sounds like he doesn't fit in. I think it was mentioned he is slow. He definitely can't shoot from the outside which means he would clog the lane for Dragic to go to work.

I don't know if you read it, but Dragic (in an interview with Lowe) talked about how Frye makes his job so much easier. Last year with Scola he could never drive the lane because there was always two bigs in there because none of the bigs could be threats far enough from the basket to draw out their defenders.
