Ultimate Warrior passes away at 54

Post#1 » by ReasonablySober » Wed Apr 9, 2014 4:27 am

I see it's being discussed in the WM thread, but this is worth its own.

Just **** awful.

WWE is shocked and deeply saddened to learn of the passing of one of the most iconic WWE Superstars ever, The Ultimate Warrior. Warrior began his WWE career in 1987 and quickly went on to become one of the biggest stars in WWE history. Warrior became WWE Champion at WrestleMania VI, defeating Hulk Hogan in an epic encounter. We are grateful that just days ago, Warrior had the opportunity to take his rightful place in the WWE Hall of Fame and was also able to appear at WrestleMania 30 and Monday Night Raw to address his legions of fans. WWE sends its sincere condolences to Warrior’s family, friends and fans. Warrior was 54 and is survived by his wife Dana and his two daughters.

I'm beyond shocked. Glad he was able to make amends with Vince/WWE get inducted into the Hall of Fame and make one final appearance in front of us, his fans and in a way say goodbye. God works in mysterious ways. R.I.P. Warrior.

Yes I am a Full Sail student, it is how I got the job. You need good grades and good GPS points to get in.

I still can't believe it. I went on the WWE website just cause I was bored....then I saw that he had passed. It's more shocking cause he was just inducted and was just on Raw last night. RIP Warrior.

Being an 80's baby you grow up idolizing these guys having their action figures, dressing up
like them for Halloween, playing them in Video Games etc and they all just die in these
tragic ways.

Maybe that's why I'm an over protective mark for Hogan. The guy is one of the last guys left
from our generation and so many people $hit on him over ignorant stupid stuff.

Being from Toronto I can tell you Hogan vs. Warrior at WM 6 at Skydome was like the biggest
thing ever at the time. I personally didn't go to this Mania like I did WM 18 but I remember
the Warrior being on the cover of the Toronto Sun the day of the PPV without his face paint.

For the crowd to be 50/50 or maybe more for Warrior in Hogans prime in arguably the biggest
Hogan territory in the world speaks volumes. I was always jealous that my cousins got to be
there live for that match and it's a big reason why I vowed not to miss WM 18.

Now as an adult I live downtown right beside Skydome and I gotta go to the convenience store
to grab some grub in about 30 mins and I'm gonna walk right by it...

All I will be thinking about is that match on April 1st 1990 as I walk by tonight

I am just shock hearing this. He just got his moment, and finally make his amends with the WWE just saw him on RAW, and of course the Hall Of Fame this past Saturday, and he looks all fine but suddenly he is gone. So sad to hear this my condolence to his family and friends.

R.I.P Ultimate Warrior

I am deeply saddened to hear the news, but I have to say not very surprised. I happened to flip to Raw during a time out for the National Title game and saw the Warrior. I turned to my wife as he was leaving the ring and said it looks like he's about to have a heart attack. I haven't read the cause, but I sure wouldn't be shocked if that was the reason.

He was one of my favorite guys growing up. The face paint the sprinting to the ring and just destroying guys was awesome. I'm happy he got his due with the WWE, he earned it. RIP Warrior.
