Time has come to win

Post#1 » by exculpatory » Sat Apr 12, 2014 3:19 am

Sure we want the Bulls to beat out the Raps for the 3 seed so we can play the Raps without HCA in Round 1 - rather than the Bulls.

Now it looks like the Heat in Round 2 IF we get there.

HOWEVER,

Wiz & Cats have the tiebreaker VS the Nets.
Therefore, the magic number to finish ahead of the Wiz is 2 & to finish ahead of the Cats is 1.
Wiz final 3 games: Milwaukee (W), Heat, & Celtics (W)
Cats final 3 games: Sixers (W), Hawks, & Bulls

After 2 embarrassing losses to the Magic & the Hawks due to resting too many people simultaneously, giving our back-ups too many minutes (OMG Marquis!), DWill playing terribly VS the Magic, Joe having a horrible game VS the Hawks, Paul shooting 5-14 & missing 4 FTs VS the Hawks, & the team missing 500 FTs VS the Hawks, the time has **** come to play EVERYONE in order to clinch the freaking 5 seed ASAP. The team ALSO needs to reestablish its freaking rhythm & a winning mojo before the goddam POs.

Yeah, I think we need to win 2 of our next 3. We should win at home against Orlando, and we should win 1 of the last 2 games against NY and Cleveland.

And play everyone to get the entire team back in sync & to get a winning mojo going again.

I warned against tanking the rest of these games, if the Nets continue to be complacent they are in for a rude awakening.

The fifth seed means we do not have HCA at all during the course of the playoffs, or atleast it's unlikely. This team has gone through a lot this season so with the veteran ball club, I expect a competitive team.

The matchups are looking a lot more favorable in the playoffs. Toronto at 4 and Indy at 1. Sorry guys, Indy in the second round is better since we won't have to beat Miami until the ECF. I feel this team is really going to play extremely intense come playoff time. Defensively, we will destroy many teams. A championship would definitely give Billy King a huge victory.

Well, put it this way, we would be the first team in NBA history to come from such an AWFUL start at 10-21 to win it all. Winning it all means that huge monkey will be off the back of Billy and also Deron Williams. The only reason we are even considered contenders and made a comeback is because of the personal on this squad. Kidd, KG and Pierce have definitely changed the dynamic and IQ level of this team and it is definitely for the better and not worse. We went from a an awful defensive squad to a top 4. If the 10-21 team was assembled around Devin Harris and the 2010 squad, no way do they come back around the 43 win mark and guarantee themselves a top 5 seed. Championship or not, Billy did his job of transforming this team and changing its image. I think the 10-21 was one of the best things to happen to this team as it was a testament of this team's resiliency. Mason and Mirza have developed into solid role players the Nets will be able to count on once KG leaves.

everyhitn that happened to this point is irrelevant. we are locked into non-home court. forget the opponent forget any bitching, just go out and compete

It looks like its going to be

Indy/ Hawks
Toronto/ Nets

Mia/ Cha
Bulls/ Was

Lets hope Indy beats ORL & CHI beats NYK, CHA, ORL. Easily done IMO.

Pierce getting injured in a game against ORL is why you rest starters in games that don't matter.

If the Heat beat the Wizards tomorrow, then the last 2 games will not matter.
If the Wizards beat the Heat tomorrow, then the Nets need to win 1 more VS the KnUcks or the Cavs.

Assuming the Heat win tomorrow, Indiana needs to beat the Magic on Wed to lock in the 1 seed.

Assuming both the Raps & the Bulls win easy games tomorrow, the KnUcks need to beat the Raps on Wed & the Bulls need to beat the Cats on Wed for the Bulls to get the 3 seed.

Wiz & Cats still fighting for 6/7 seeds.

Lots still going on in the WC as well with 2 games left in the RS.
