The last home game of the season.

Riding a modest two-game winning streak into Monday night's game, representing the most powerful city in the world, YOUR Washington Wizards welcome our visitors from Miami. Fellow southeast division rivals the Atlanta Hawks did the Wizards no favors by beating the Heat on Saturday night, knocking them out of first place in the Eastern Conference. Any thoughts that the Miami would rest their stars should be thrown out the window, as the Eastern Conference crown is still not settled. Expect the Heat to play as if home court advantage throughout the playoffs is at stake, because it is.

By now, there's nothing else to be said about this game that you'all don't already know. Heat SG Dwayne Wade is back after missing nine games and rounding into shape for the playoffs. He'll start the game. He logged 23 minutes versus the Hawks on Saturday, scoring 24 points on 10-14 shooting from the field.

The Wizards road to victory will have to be paved through outstanding games from both PG John Wall and SG Bradley Beal -- with the Wiz making hay in the transition game. Washington will also need to find a defensive match-up for Heat F/C Chris Bosh.

If you're planning to go to the game, yeah -- just be prepared for an Army of annoying bandwagon fans. What can you do? But if the Wizards expect to make any noise in the playoffs, this is the kind of game they need to find a way to win. Can they do it?

Spoelstra is doing a pretty bad job in managing minutes. He's playing Rashard over Beasley and running LeBron into the ground before the playoffs. Battier is beat up and Bosh has been disappearing since he camps at the 3 point line and isn't even featured in the offense. Norris Cole also has been horrible.

Wiz need to play inside out in this game. Gortat had 18 rebounds in the last meeting and Wittman inexplicably played him only 32 minutes that game. Nene should have a good night vs. their reserves. Attack the paint with the lack of shot blocking or go to the post.

Oh, and let me get this out of the way. Honestly, all is lost for this game. The Heat Dance Team kicks our butt.

For what it's worth, here are my fave members for your review and enjoyment.

Speaking of cheerleaders, would it be frowned upon if I went out with a former cheerleader of another team?

Dude, nobody here will judge.

(For the rest of the board to catch up with you, here's former Luv-a-Bull Andrea.)

Nice of you to ask first, though, JWiz.

Of course I have to get the Wiz board blessing. Don't want to be blamed for any foreseeable catastrophic playoff failure due to bad juju.

I hate to spoil the party, but those are all men. Seriously, look more closely. Men. They just have better surgeons in Miami.

we do have to exploit them inside but still there worst feature by far is the PG position. This is the game for Wall to get back on track. If he doesnt do it this game then we should be worried. Chalmers gets lit up by guys. Teague just had 25. This could be a 1st round matchup so I want to see Wall play well and get back on track. At the same time Beal also gets up to play Wade

Heat cheerleaders, oh my.

actually, the Heat have probably lost any reasonable chance of winning the EC with the loss
to ATL now that IND is ahead of them with a magic number of one after beating OKC
today. IND's last game should be a gimme at ORL. But we'll just have to wait
and see how MIA plays it. IND has to lose that game and MIA win both in order for MIA to
win HCA against the Pacers. I didn't expect that after MIA beat them last week.
But there it is. And we can hold onto 6th by winning the last 2 (oops, this is the
wizards, hope that wasn't bad juju). A matchup against TOR now looks very possible.
MIA better bring it against CHA. AlJeff could be a force in that series. Wouldn't that
be a shocker if CHA won? Even though IND beat OKC today, neither IND nor MIA is
playing well lately.

If Spoelstra rests his stars we got this.

Well, in fairness, we took Mike Pence off their hands. Taking back Mahinmi is the least they can do.

If the Heat play their starters we still have a good chance to win this. They destroyed Miami the last time in D.C.
