Reports are coming over the wire that Gores has had talks with Charlie Sheen to gauge Sheen's interest in the Pistons GM position.

Charlie Sheen would probably hire Lisa Ann to be the head coach.

Still better than Mo Cheeks.

I think it would be a very Phil Jackson-like situation, which I can't believe is optimal for this franchise. They can't afford a passive GM. They need somebody who is going to come in and shake this organization up.

He only owns 3% of the Dodgers. He's basically just an investor. I don't think that would stop him from being able to run an NBA team if he wanted.

He has companies in LA, but he also recently bought the Michigan State Fairgrounds, so he's going to have business to attend here as well in the near future.

Speaking of Magic, we almost could've had Bird last year:

And if anyone is wondering whether Gores will be able to attract a good candidate, stop worrying. For all the concerns, there are only 30 of these jobs in the NBA, and they usually come with a hefty paycheck. There were feelers from Larry Bird’s camp last off-season, when the speculation started about Dumars’ future with the Pistons. Ultimately, he returned to the Indiana Pacers (after another dalliance with the Sacramento Kings), but that’s as big of a name as you can get.

At least Bill Simmons would be fun. We'd have a trade every week :-)

He would immediately offer Andre Drummond, Monroe and KCP and 12 first round picks for Rondo and Gerald Wallace

If we're going to get silly in here:

Zach Lowe

Tell him it's time to put up or shut up!

Love his articles...would be interesting to see if he can walk the walk or just talk the talk

Sources: Dumars will remain with the #Pistons in a lower capacity, an adviser role, and will be allowed to look for other opportunities.

#Pistons executives George David and Ken Cantanella will run team through draft and free agency as ownership conducts search for replacement

:o

Well, Dumars can advise on our exclusive D-league team
So he can't harm us anymore. :P
