This our chance to have a legitimate shot at the ECF. Rest DeMar, Lowry, and Amir vs NYK. Put yourself in the Washington/Indy bracket at the 4th seed.

**** Brooklyn though

If we throw it what is the outcome? If Chicago intentionally loses we would still be 3rd right?

If Chicago loses we end up 3rd regardless of the outcome of our last game, yes.

So i'm sure chicago would want to rest guys as well and avoid Miami second round. What incentive would they have to play guys?

Casey & Masai won't throw a game. No way.

I didn't realize Brooklyn & Washington were so close.

There is no guarantee what is going to happen.....especially with teams resting players.

I'm just glad we are in the playoffs. There are benefits to playing Washington & there are benefits to playing Brooklyn.

There's no incentive. That said, as dagger points out, Carmelo likely isn't playing for New York.

We're likely looking at a handful of games no one wants to win. The late-season NBA, ladies and gents!

What do you guys expect? This should serve as motivation to the Raptors. If I was the Heat, I'd be thinking the same thing, and so would you. If' I'm the Raptors - this is a massive disrespect to the team and I'm going into the playoffs with a chip on my shoulder, a giant "F U" chip whereby I have something to prove.

Objectively - we are younger, less experienced and ultimately the Heat have really played well against us this year. So this isn't a surprise.

its clear what they are pulling, so we should retaliate. In the game of playoffs, you live or you die.

They know they are going to get more calls than us, because we have proven nothing. Unfortunately, that means they are going to try and take liberties. The league should penalize them for doing anything but winning, but it's hard to prove they are actually "tanking" for an opponent.

To be fair, if I was them, I'd prefer to play us, too. We present issues, but we are also a bit lightweight in the weight department outside of JV. The Nets run iso post ups, and their size and strength is going to mean we are going to have to be overly help conscious, which will in turn help the Nets get their threes. They are going to pick and roll/iso post-up us to death unless our rotations are perfect. It can be done, but it's not easy at all.

Who's saying they have to throw a game? But they rested DeMar yesterday and Casey indicated post-game they were somewhat likely to do so again.

Resting Lowry and Amir, both battling injuries, makes tons of sense beyond worrying about seeding.

I want the Bulls/Nets, makes for an entertaining series, if you want respect, do it by beating good teams, not the Bobcats/Wizards.

I can see why Miami wants us. Haven't beaten them in like 15 straight

Don't know what to say what a real slap in the face...Can't blame Miami though

So the plan should be:

BKN throws their last 2 games away
We lose to Knicks
Bulls beat Cats
Washington beats Boston

1.Pac
2.Heat
3.Bulls
4.Raps
5.Wiz
6.Nets
7.Cats
8.Hawks

we play wiz in 1st rd and if we win that series, Pacers in 2nd rd?

Why wouldn't chicago simply lose to get that 4th seed? At this point it is out of our hands. Doesn't matter if we rest guys or not

Wasn't aware of that.

I have no idea why they start the playoff so soon after the season ends. Give these guys a week off.
