With this team, you never really know..
It's just that the bulls wear you out physically as do the pacers.

The nets have a shot at beating us.

If we can avoid those 3 and face the winner of them in the ecf, I like our chances of getting to the finals again.

why "if"

have i missed a rule change?

i always thought the division leaders would be 1-2-3 by default no matter what the record

has that changed?

...what are you talking about? The nets are in the same division as Toronto..
I'm not talking about 1-2-3 seeds I'm talking about avoiding the nets, bulls and pacers(obviously) at the same time until the ecf.

The rule has changed

Toronto has the tiebreaker over Chicago due to the division win, but if Chicago wins tomorrow and Toronto loses, Chicago would move into third

Division winners must be in the top 4, not necessarily top 3.

Winning your Division only guarantees you home court aka a top 4 seed. If Chicago has the better record they will be 3 and Toronto will be 4 but clearly Toronto would be an easier out so we're all Raptors fans for for now.

It doesn't make sense to me. Division winners get a top 4 seed, but if the 5th seed has a better record than the 4th (division winner), then the 5th starts at home. So, division winners aren't even guaranteed home court..

it's looking like the heat will be playing the bobcats in the first round so I imagine oden will get more playing than usual to try to slow down big al. beas can rot on the bench, although I'm sure he'll make some noise at some point in the playoffs.

LeBron should go for 61 every game against the lolcats

Now apparently the Nets are trying to fall down to the 6th seed to get the Raps in the first round and us in the second round. They probably think they got our numbers beating us 4-0 in the RS but with a healthy Wade and LeBron they are not going to know what hit them. I think we beat them in 5. Hell I wouldn't even take them over the Raptors yet. I think the Raptors got a good shot at beating them or taking it to 6-7 in a very tough series.

The only team in the EAST I would rather stay away from is BKN. I know most would say Indy but to me BKN matches up even worse for us. They have players that have been known to disrupt our stars(KG on Bosh & PP on LeBron) while also having other weapons that go against some our weaknesses like Wade D(JJ killing us from deep) and D-Will vs. Chalmers. Do I fear them? No! We would beat them in 6 but in a perfect world, I would rather go vs. Bobcats, Raptors and Pacers on way to the finals not Cats, BKN, Pacers and finals.

Can anyone kind enough explain the most likely scenario for the Heats round 1 and 2 of the playoffs. I know Bobcats will be the first opponent, but who will be second? It would be great if CHI play IND in the second round, I really think the bulls will win that series. What are the odds of that matchup? Cheers

As of now;

HEAT vs. Cats, Raptors, Pacers
Pacers vs. Hawks, BKN/Chi, Mia

Raptors, Chicago, BKN, Wiz can all switch their position based on the last 2 games.

If the Brooklyn Nets lose their final two games on Tuesday and Wednesday, the Wizards can sneak into the No. 5 seed with a win over Boston on Wednesday night. Which could put BKN at 6 and in our bracket.

Washington is one game up on Charlotte in the race for the No. 6 seed, but will need to beat the Boston Celtics on Wednesday in order to clinch the No. 6 spot. Otherwise, the Wizards will need the Bobcats to lose at home to the Chicago Bulls.

If both teams win, the Wizards would still lock up the No. 6 seed and a first-round series with either Toronto or Chicago.

Hope that helps!

OK...running away again! See you in the playoffs.

The Nets would be wise to not go that route...

All I kno is they better be prepared for this post season. Wade better not be walking around like an old man and Bosh better not play like he's Britney Griner. Teams are awaiting their downfall.
