Well it was officially announced, didn't see any other posts. grdleague.com is the site for it, name hasn't been chosen yet but you can submit your opinion on the homepage for a chance to win two season tickets  . It's a 1 to 1 hybrid affiliate, which means GR takes care of the business side (ticket sales, merch, facility) and Pistons oversee all basketball operations (cutting ties with FT. Wayne) and it is solely ours. For anyone that lives out in GR it looks like they will be playing at DeltaPlex Arena for the 14-15 season. Team was taken from Brooklyn, and they will not have an affiliate what so ever next season. We're one of 15 teams to have our own now, the other 15 (Clippers, Suns, Jazz, Nuggets, Wolves, Grizzlies, NOLA, Hawks, Bobcats, Wizards, Raps, Nets, Bucks, Pacers, Bulls) do not and they share in some way. The teams official twitter is @grdleague.

Joking aside, no, they would have to agree to the assignment.

But, their games fit in the D-league.

I haven't watched much D-League but I'd imagine that Jennings would average 30 and 15

Go to www.grdleague.com and offer a suggestion for a new team name. The winner gets 2 season tickets.

If a young player is good enough a decent coach should give him minutes on an NBA team, i am not sure what this d-league really has to offer for NBA player development.
