Honestly, I don't know if this had to do with the 1st or the 2nd round. Remember, the Nets are 4-0 against the Heat and KG and Pierce definitely want to face LeBron and Allen again.

They do, but ANY team would rather face indiana than miami at this point, no matter how poorly we match up with indiana. This was a mix of moronic decisions by Kidd and the team looking super sloppy lately, not even a good sign going into the playoffs.

Do you SERIOUSLY think the nets are DISRESPECTING MIAMI? oh my, i've seen it all.

They did manage to tank for the 6th seed in order to be In Miami's bracket, I don't see how you can deny that.

For the record, I don't have anything against the Nets, just Pierce and KG.

And how is this disrespectful? if anything Brooklyn respects Miami the most out of any team i've seen this season, they ALWAYS get up to play against miami, that's the most sincere sign of respect that i know, win or lose they are always ready to face the heat, because they know how good miami truly is.

EDIT: and i'm super pissed the team managed to get the 6th seed, i was hoping we would stay put at 5 as i think we have no chance at beating the heat.

If we're looking at it realistically, you're probably right. Most teams consider Miami the favorite and thus would prefer to play Indiana. But I don't think that KG and Pierce see it the same way and it has nothing to do with us. They just want to face LeBron and Allen again.

It's actually 1:30 in my location, but regardless it is a pretty early start, usually teams struggle with early games, at least they have a few days to change their routines.

Oh, I'm sorry the Raptors missed the chance to have consistent games against the Milwaukee Bucks, Cleveland Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons. Would have been rough...

Sure but they got fat off the Sixers,Knicks and Celtics. Winning the Atlantic is meaningless now a days

Fair enough, I certainly didn't think or look at it in that way. KG and Pierce wants a piece of the Heat, bad.

The fact that Brooklyn tanked to face Toronto should motivate the Raptors even more. Lowry and Derozan are the type of guys who perform better with a chip on their shoulders. Can't wait for this series.

And won one on a moronic Deron Williams turnover, you can't take anything from the season series other than these two teams are evenly matched.

The first game being before the trade is a factor because of the Nets struggles on the road. Raptors have one of the better home crowds in the nba but in the first game the crowd was not a factor cause team sucked and nobody cared. In January when the Raptors were on a run and the crowd was in it they blew the Nets out 96-80, a similar result might occur in the Playoffs with how crazy the ACC gets

The nets were without two starters on that game.

Why are we even talking about the regular season anymore, if you think the raptors will that's fine by me, i just wouldn't take anything from the regular season, the playoffs are a different animal.

Nets played arguably their best basketball of the season in January with their only losses coming to Toronto. The injuries did not hurt them and actually helped them discover what lineups worked and how they needed to play

Playoffs are a different animal but a bad road record is a bad road record and playing in on of the louder arenas is not good for such a team. I may be wrong but in IMO having home court will be a significant advantage for the Raptors
