- we suck on the road and they have HCA
- they have the best player in the series
- Lowry owns Dwill
- kidd decided to purpusely have his team not play together and play their worst basketball of the season heading into the playoffs
i think the raps win in 5 or 6. and i think game 1 is a raptors blowout win
As a Raps fan, I'm pegging the Nets as favorites because:
- Raps offense is perimeter oriented and tend to struggle when teams extend their defense. Nets are long and mobile enough to be disruptive.
- Raps biggest boon is their front court but neither JV or Amir are go to post scorers.
- Raps will have to double JJ at some point, which is tough because Nets spread the floor, and Raps rotations have been sloppy for a month or so.
- Kidd, having played under Casey in Dallas, is probably wise to some of Casey's tricks, particularly his zone defense packages.
- Amir struggles to defend Pierce, and might not be able to neutralize match up on other end. Raps might have to go small, which isn't a strength.
- Nets have more guys that can take over a game. When baskets are hard to come by, especially in the clutch, this is huge, and ultimately, will decide the series IMO.
- Also, the Raps have been terrible playing early afternoon games this year (0-4 - all at home). If they squander homecourt, they're in trouble.
