They opened with some brief NBA FA talk and DouchewithaC threw out a few names: Lance, Parsons, Gay, few others I can't remember. Haywood said he liked Parsons and they discussed signing him away from Houston as a RFA. Though this was like 2 minutes and then they went to the phones.

They didn't touch on the fact that the Rockets have a 4th-year option on Parsons, so if they don't think they can re-sign him for a decent amount they can just extend the option to keep him for cheap. There was also little no mention of Gordon Hayward as a possibility. I decided, what the hell, and called (which I also never do).

For the remainder of the time he was on the line, every call was about baseball, specifically Hank Aaron night in Atlanta (which is where The Douche was actually broadcasting from). Of course when you're on hold they take you name and what you want to discuss: "Justin; NBA free agency."

So I wait, they spend the remaining 30 minutes or so comparing Aaron to Barry Bonds (because The Douche is - of course - a Giants fan and has no actual ties to the local teams), and the steroid era in baseball. I mean, I like the Braves, but there's a freaking NBA player taking questions (injured, but still). I finally hear: "alright now Justin... actually I think Chris was next." So instead of taking the guy who wanted to talk basketball, he takes another baseball call. Chris then goes on to rant about a previous caller who said steroids were fine.

And that took up the rest of Haywood's time, all of it on baseball. And right before Haywood hung up The Douche got a final word in: "Oh and by the way MKG hasn't attempted a three in months. What do you think about that?" Haywood calls it good coaching: "That's not his game, he's a lock-down defender and he'll be fine offensively, he's still one of the youngest players in the league."

"SHOULD'VE DRAFTED BEAL!! BYE BRENDAN!!!"

Of course I hung up.
Damn you were Justin? lol I was listening to the radio when that whole scenario was going down

Yeah, just weird handling of the whole thing. I didn't even realize the other guy (Taylor?) wasn't there anymore. Just Marc and the QCB...

Sent from my SCH-I535 using RealGM Forums mobile app
I don't see what validation Marc James gets out of calling MKG a bust any chance he gets. If I recall correctly he wanted to draft Brandon Knight over Kemba and he also wanted to draft MKG in the first place.

First time since the creation of NBA that the playoffs will occur WITHOUT one of those 3 teams: Lakers - Knicks - Celtics

I finished first of the fantasy with 3 bobcats all season long in my roster (Kemba, MKG, McBob) and Tolliver when he was on fire.

Watching this 30/30 on the Pistons. I remember their run faintly as I was 5 years old when it startedand about 7 when the Bulls finally ended it.

Man were those guys a bunch of bitches.

i can listen to isiah thomas talk about hoops for hours and hours. he is just so calm and explains things in a way that makes sense and he says what is on his mind. i love listening to him call games. at the same time, i think he is **** insane, so i am really confused.

People always put him down about his GM "skills", but they need to look at how he drafted. He was pretty damn awesome at drafting talent. He is a very smart and intellectual guy overall, he just needs someone to work beside him kind of like Cho does with Higgins. Make it a dual effort to keep someone from doing something stupid.

Liver_Pooty,

I am contacting you regarding your appeal to regain posting privileges on our General NBA Forum.

The General NBA Forums Appeals Committee has reviewed your appeal and reached a decision.

The Committee has "rejected" your appeal for reinstatement.

They felt your appeal needed more substance. The Committee is aware your a good user elsewhere too but we do have a strict GB Policy and were disappointed you committed another strike after being granted Strike Amnesty.

You may re-apply again in 60 days provided you do not get any new warnings and/or infractions prior to that date.
