Manziel is so intriguing. I would gladly take him with the 8th pick just to shake things up.

Low to mid-twenties is probably average.

Bridgewater in town for three days. If he's there at 8, I think we'll take him. He plays better in the clutch and he lives in the pocket.

Ya, the safest bet seems to be a qb who stays in the pocket. Not many scramblers pan out to be very good. I definitely think there is a high chance he falls to us. If anyone gets the time, watch Johnny Manziel at john gruden a qb camp on YouTube, it's fairly entertaining.

Re: QB Prospect Thread
I'm kind of torn. on one hand I like bridgewater because he is the smartest (for lack of better term) QB of the bunch so in theory he should be stable/solid with decent upside. the Vikings have a ton of talent on offense and just need someone consistent at quarterback who can make the necessary plays.
on the other hand, manziel's upside is definitely intriguing. in a few years our O line might not be as good as it is and AP will retire so we might need a QB who can make things happen on the ground as well.
at the end of the day I have faith in the vikes FO to get a good QB in the draft, whether it be with the eighth pick or one in later rounds for development.

In the NFL you win from the pocket, and that's why I like Bridgewater the best, he's the most comfortable in the pocket.

Bridgewater at 8, that's my prediction, and then hopefully Shazier, Ward, or Verett in second.

I'm not sure I believe that at all. One rumor was that basically every team is down on Bridgewater and he wont go in the first round. It's all just worthless rumors if you ask me.

this is wild, first everyone thought he was a top 10 pick then out of the first round in the 40s or something and now he's back in the top 10?

Not sure how much of it is smoke. I'm really not all that impressed with Carr, at least not enough to justify using a 1st on him. People can't look past Bridgewater's hands.

His "small" hands and his pro day, because those two things somehow completely invalidate years of excellence on the field. Man, I hope this extensive workout with the Vikings isn't smoke, and they just make a good decision and draft Bridgewater. I think he's going to be really good.

OJ Mayo is one of the best defenders in the league, hes a two way player and hes a great passer and playmaker.

Agreed. I don't believe his hands are a big enough flag to turn him down. He pretty much has every other quality you look for in a franchise QB, including a high football IQ.

Re: QB Prospect Thread
If Bridgewater falls to us, it's a perfect fit. No reason for his stock to fall this much, so I don't think we will land him but I'm sold. Especially after watching him at Grudens qb camp. Great poise in the pocket; exactly what we need.

We'd have to trade back if they all fell to us, it'd be very likely they'd keep falling.

Agreed, but then I worry our guy (whoever that is) will get taken by someone.Jukeness wrote:We'd have to trade back if they all fell to us, it'd be very likely they'd keep falling.
