There are none.

1) Wiggins
2) Embiid
3) Parker
4) Exum

You can't really lose, but I've been salivating over the idea of a wing combo of Giannis and Wiggins for a bit now. Very tempting.

Embiid
Exum
Wiggins
Parker

Only #1 is set for me and I'm planning on studying a heap before the draft but as of now Exum takes two as the path to superstar for non-playmakers is damn narrow and I'm shooting for the stars. I'm also going to give Smart a chance of making my list just for GOS. :D

Why do we have this same thread every month? Does the order really change substantially for anyone?

I still have:

Parker
Embiid
Wiggins
Exum
Luke23

in that order.

Circumstances change. IIRC Parker and Embiid have lead a poll each and Wiggins two.

Religious differences shouldn't be a problem in the NBA- just look at Preacher Jackson and Sceptic Bogut, nothing odd there! ;)

Because the guy pushing it is an utter DB!

I actually like them starting afresh, same logic as ATL.

I reckon I'd give up the #1 pick for prime Manu.

Manu with the ability to play starters minutes I'm giving up #1 in a heartbeat.

I think Manu is pretty on the money as an NBA comparison for Exum, he weaves through cracks in traffic majestically and has phenomenal poise to get off shots from crazy angles.

Agreed. If he's Manu I do that in a heartbeat, but that's dependent on him being able to finish around the rim with a serious lack of vertical.

Ginobli is probably a unique enough player that you can't reasonably expect anyone to have a comparable skill set. I honestly have never seen a 2 guard with a package of ball handling, creative passing, and unorthodox finishes at the rim anything close to Manu. He could shoot from range too. And was fearless.

I don't feel comfortable hanging that on Exum until he shows it in full. Until he proves otherwise, he is Jamal Crawford to me... a lanky slasher with spring in his step. Still a nice player, but much more common of a skill set than an all time original like Manu.

I'd go with Embiid (assuming tests prove he has a back) then probably Wiggins, then consider a trade if something tasty is on offer. Bucks just need a lock with this one with minimal bust potential (again, based on confidence in Embiid's back)- Giannis is already the swing for the bleachers guy. That's thinking with my head and thinking build to compete, and believing that you cats that are more emotionally invested in this team than I am deserve it.

If I get the top pick and tests show Embiid is an invertebrate but people are still keen then I get giddy and shop the pick to a gambler who can somehow get me later high picks to get Exum and Saric.

Would anyone trade down from #1 to #4 if the bucks could get another 1st next year? Because we are trading with #4 assume we are trading with a bad team and that means we could be looking at that pick easily being in the top 7 or higher.

I'd be ok with it if we got another young asset or were able to dump Mayo's contract, as long as one of Wiggins, Exum or Embiid was available at 4.
