Sixers fans big board: Pick #4 (POLL)

Post#1 » by HartfordWhalers » Fri Apr 18, 2014 11:48 pm

#1 was Wiggins
#2 was Embiid
#3 was Parker.

On to #4

Again, this is the player you most wish the Sixers would pick f the remainig players, not who you think will go 4th in some mock draft.

Poll choices being filled out by Dx mock draft, but if you want another choice upcoming just make some noise about it.

Exum, even tho I'm not sure if he fits here 100% with MCW.

This is the hardest choice for me between any two picks, but at this point I would go with Exum over Randle by a hair.

I know more about Randle and am comfortable with the idea that he is going to be a star. I think he will be better than Zach Randolph although probably not a franchise level talent. He is also the absolute perfect compliment to Noel.

I will also say that for the Pelicans pick that he is my number one trade up choice, and I would be happy to give up something significant to get him. He may fall to 6 or 7, but that is about as far as I could see him going.

However, Exum probably has more upside as a two way player and probably has a higher ceiling than a Randle. If he really has great workouts, and is deemed willing and able to play the 2 by Hinkie and Brown then I think that you have to take him.

If he is reluctant to work out for teams and seems dead set on playing the point, then I would have no trouble taking a Randle and moving on.

So this one could probably change between now and the draft.

Well said, I def think Randle is being slept on.

The faith I have in Hinkie, based on that beautiful Jrue Holiday trade, would go right out the window if he selected Julius Randle in the top 4. Thers are 5 players who clearly project better to the NBA.

It would be interesting to see though, what the 76ers would do if Exum fell to #4 and refused to visit.

From 4 on I'm slightly tempted to go for Randle because the fit seems just so ideal next to Noel... But at this point you're not drafting for need, and the apparent potential/talent disparity between Exum and Randle is just too big. I went with Exum.

I went with Exum, that is what I think Hinkie would do. If I was GM I would go with Noah V.

Exum unless he doesn't want to play here. Vonleh then Randle after Exum.
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

Like others have said, Exum if he's okay with playing the 2 and being a Sixer

You should vote for Vonleh then. We are creating our big board, not guessing Hinkie's.

He may not work out for us, if he is gunning for the Lakers. I'd prob take him anyway.

Went with Exum over Vonleh as BPA. But an MCW/Exum backcourt......seems shaky on paper. Too many mouths to feed and not enough shooting
I speak the truth.

Exum is easily BPA here with the other three off the Board, but number five should be really interesting.

Yeah, this should just be what us unwashed fans want, not any indication of what we think will happen.

Exum easily. I dislike Randle and have no desire to draft him this high.

Voted Randle because I think him and Noel can be a deadly duo. With Noel being such an aggressive shot blocker we're gonna need an strong rebounding PF on the back side while Noel is up in the air contesting those shots. Also helps that Randle is an actual low post scoring threat while Noel is more of a high post type of big.

Exum I believe is not gonna want to visit with teams with a PG in place like we have plus I'm not very confident about him and MCW starting in the backcourt as two players who struggle with shooting.
