ross can't control what the refs do. if the refs want ross in foul trouble, by golly they'll get him in foul trouble.

Are we supposed to pretend that Ross didn't actually commit those fouls? He did. They were legitimate. Nothing we can do about it but look to integrate him more in game 2.

Casey sitting him on the bench with four isn't because of the refs, it's because deep down Casey wants nothing more than for Ross to be glued to the bench in favor of the "heart and soul" that John Salmons brings. Such a "gritty veteran" that just "knows how to get the job done".

Dwane Casey is our coach. I doubt there's going to be any useful adjustments made.

He plays Chuck Hayes despite Nets not having any big fat guys that would require Hayes and his big fat ass to hold off in the post.

It took about 2 minutes for the entire room I was with to bring up the inevitable, "ok that's enough of Chuck hayes".

the first foul he got called for was definitely not a foul... definitely not a foul.

Pierce just punked the **** outta the Raps and all of Toronto. Check this. You can also hear Blatche saying "**** the North!" or something along those lines.

Hayes played a solid minutes in game 1 with very good defense and led to the Patterson dunk that tied the game in the 4th quarter. His double team recognition is excellent, which is a far cry from every other big that is mediocre at best for the raptors when it comes to timing of double teams...especially Amir.

Might be a good idea to start Landry & let Terrence face the second unit.

I dont think a hall of a famer who tanked to face an easier opponent is gonna punk anyone. Its a 7 game series. If the Raptors steal one on the road, they'll taunt Pierce right back.

Hate the Heat but even if they get past us, watch what the Heat do to them. Lebron will go game 6 on them for the entire series.

Trash player like Blatche talking as though he's done anything. People will remember Zan Tabak more than you.

I hope we don't try Amir iso postups on Pierce again.. or Amir trying to dribble with the ball... need to get him involved through the pick and roll. i wish we had a PF capable of punishing the nets for going small.. we may need to put Amir at 5 because his defense >>>> vals

Val has been good defensively. Not as good as Amir but thats to be expected. Its not JV's fault our guards cant contain dribble penetration. A 21 year old sophomore playing in his first playoffs can only do so much.

Sid Seixeiro's Anchorman reference response on Twitter was pretty much what I was thinking. "I hate you Paul Pierce but dammit do I respect you."

Obviously, must win game.

I still have faith in Demar. He didn't found his rythm early in the game and the forced WAY too much his shots. He has to shoot in the flow of the offense, and penetrate some more. Long 2pt jumpers in playoffs it's a recipe for disaster.

Lowry and Valanciunas did a good job. I'm glad we looked for Jonas down low and he responded. Amir should step up and Ross stay out of foul trouble, every minute of Salmons' corpse on the floor destroys this team.

jonas was kept out for a breather, he was visibly getting tired. I actually think the 2-day breaks are going to help this team more than brooklyn.

That's the main thing that let's me keep some hope in DeMar for the next game. Vince bounced back with 27 points on 7-13 shooting. Hopefully DeMar does the same. However, I'd be interested to see what kinds of shots Vince missed in his first game, because DeMar's shot selection was absolutely pitiful.
