Continue to struggle but become more of a playmaker then he already is.

What adjustments do you expect to see in game 2?

On the Nets side:
I hope Kidd stresses we don't need to take 25 3 pointers per game. IMO it's a sign of being lazy and not working for a better shot. There should be more post ups (JJ, PP and D.Will) and more ball movement in general. Our defense was great on Saturday, but I wasn't impressed by the offense. Toronto played OK D, but for the most part I did not like the ball movement or the settling for 3s.

Also, we will see more Plumlee I'm sure, and I think he will open up the game a little bit more and allow the Nets to attack inside some. His energy will be welcome, but I love the fact that he offers us an above the rim target in transition and half court.

On Toronto's side:
They need to run more. Lowry needs to stay aggressive and look to get Deron in foul trouble. Jonas needs to look to score especially on Plumlee doesn't have the strength to guard him if he gets him down low.

I think they could also benefit from crashing the offensive glass. It's not as though Brooklyn is much of a transition team, so even if they don't get the offensive rebound, they should have time to get back.

How will the Raptors limit Joe Johnson? Will they double more, blitz him, force the ball out of his hand

Ross defended him well during the regular season, but I still think they need to do a quick double when he's in the post. If he's facing the basket, there is no immediate need for a double.

What does Derozan need to do to have a better game?

Attack the basket and get to the line.

Vazquez and Patterson played big minutes and played well. Both played the entire 4th in favor of Amir and Ross. I know Ross's minutes were limited early due to foul trouble, but do expect Patterson and Vazquez to continue to play meaningful minutes?

Yes and yes.
Vasquez always plays well against us and having a second ball handler is important as DD and Ross aren't very good secondary ball handlers.
Patterson I'm a big fan of. He may not be the defender or rebounder Amir is, but he's long, active and can shoot the three. I think he's a good player for Toronto to put in when Mirza is in.

Do you believe Casey will play Fields? Should he play him? How many minutes should he get? Just Salmons?

I wouldn't.

Where was AK47? Will he play game 2? Whose minutes does he take? Some of Anderson's? Some of Mirza's?

I'm sure he will play some, but it all depends on the flow of the game. He won't play at the end of the game because of his FT shooting, but if either DD or Ross get hot, I think he might be thrown at them. Ideally his minutes come at the expense of Mirza who did not have his shot game 1 and has played poorly against Toronto all season long. I normally am not a big AA fan, but he was good on Saturday and has familiarity with Toronto.

2014 NBA Playoffs: Toronto Raptors (3) vs Brooklyn Nets (6)

It's almost a little crazy that the Nets have no spot for AK right now..on virtually any other team, he would see minutes if not extended minutes. It really says a lot about the Nets depth. It definitely has to do with spreading the floor though.

I think another poster mentioned it. If AK is out there, the paint will be packed and it takes away post-up opportunities for Johnson and Pierce.

I've watched every Nets game this season and I swear I haven't seen AK take more than 10-12 outside shots this season. I do think Kidd is saving him though for when DD or Ross gets hot from the floor.

My last thought on AK is that Kidd should try him at center for spot minutes to see how he does. I think he could be effective there in short spurts.

To stop being Rudy **** Gay and pass the freaking ball. And to top it off, stop shooting 3s like he's Ray Allen.

So true. I don't think I saw him pull off that kind of move all year.

That's kind of his go to move. The difference is he usually does it starting with a pass from the high / mid post and goes to work that way. Like he does it very first highlight in this video here against Wade (he gets fouled and misses - but it's the first I remembered off the top of my head).

Pierce has some great moves in that area. What he's really gotten good at though in his older age is those trailing 3s with a hand in his face. That's why he's become such a good small ball 4 and I think the Raptors need to counter that by going small ball sometimes too to match up with that threat. He has a great ball / head fake, and he can absorb contact well at the rim. So if you have a big having to rush out and close out on him, he's likely going to get fouled on a fake or just go by the guy and get right to the rim despite being so slow.

Hard for Raps fans to talk 50 pages of useless **** now that they're losing. I think they realized their team actually has to win a game before they start spouting off.

Meh. It was page after page of trolling and they were having fun. No harm in that, really. A lot of it was trashing on Brooklyn's fanbase, which isn't cool, but most of it was pretty light hearted. I think in reality they knew what was going on, they were just having fun while things were good. If the Raptors win game 2 the fun will resume.

I'm sticking to Nets in 6. I can't see BK losing 4 of 5 to TOR. They need to get to game 7 if they are taking this series.

Ideally, as a Raptors fan, I see it going like this:

Game 2 @ TOR- W
Game 3 @ BKN- W
Game 4 @ BKN- L
Game 5 @ TOR- W
Game 6 @ BKN- W

Realistically:

Game 2 @ TOR- W
Game 3 @ BKN- W
Game 4 @ BKN- L
Game 5 @ TOR- W
Game 6 @ BKN- L
Game 7 @ TOR- W (BKN will give everything they have to win that game 6 and be tired by game 7)

Raps in 6 or 7!

A boy can dream right?

^^ Sure you can dream.

More pressure is on TOR right now. Losing two at home would crush them. All BK would have to do is take one at home which they should do. TOR might have felt the pressure in game 1 since they are a young team with little experience but let's crank that up as they know how much game 2 means and see if they can respond.

Yes.. 5. 1 for game 1, and then 1 each for the next 4 games (all Raptors wins)
