Sixers fans big board: Pick #6 (POLL)

Post#1 » by HartfordWhalers » Tue Apr 22, 2014 4:37 pm

#1 was Wiggins
#2 was Embiid
#3 was Parker.
#4 was Exum
#5 was Randle

On to #6

Again, this is the player you most wish the Sixers would pick f the remainig players, not who you think will go 4th in some mock draft.

Poll choices being filled out by Dx mock draft, but if you want another choice upcoming just make some noise about it.

I'd take Kyle Anderson over at least 5 guys in this poll.

I chose Vonleh at #5 so needless to say, I'm choosing him at #6.

Vonleh
They say an analytics man doesn't have a heart, but I ran the numbers and nothing can be further from the truth - Sam Hinkie probably

Vonleh.

Although I wouldn't be surprised if Aaron Gordon was in the discussion come draft night....but Vonleh's combination of size/skill/upside def gives him the edge imo, especially on our team.

Vonleh over Smart here for me. BPA, IMO... 2nd youngest in the draft with the most complete game (after Embiid) and fits best with Noel which is the added bonus. Having Noel and Vonleh in the paint on defense allows our wings to aggressively defend against the three on the perimeter and force guys into taking mid range shots or drive into the Abyss where it would be dark and unfriendly.

If we get boned with the 5th pick, it's great that players like Randle, Vonleh and Smart will be the consolation prize!
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

Smart would be the smart choice.

Impossible for the Sixers to get the 6th pick. Isn't this just futile?

I assume it's more like if they traded up but that would depend who we picked first anyway

Vonleh for me.

He has more potential than anyone left at this point and would be a great fit for us at the 4.

This is going to get really interesting when we get to the 8, 9, 10 range because there isnt all that much clarity beyond the top 7 or 8.

I chose Smart over Randle and Vonleh for the last pick so Smart over Vonleh. Just going with my gut which says Vonleh has bust written all over him

I voted Aaron Gordon. I haven't seen enough of Vonleh to endorse picking him over AG.

This is our subjective ranong of the order in which a player is attractive to us for the Sixers.

It is entirely possible that the 6th or 7th most favorite of ours is there at 10. Or a trade happens or anything.

Vonleh, he would be a great get as a trade up to 6-7.

I'm torn between Gordon & Vonleh like most were torn between Randle & Vonleh (I'd take Randle ahead of both).

I'm going to go with Gordon here, but to me its a toss-up. Both are raw and need a lot of development, and both appear to have high ceilings. Gordon to me has some Marion/Blake-ness in his game and I could see him being a high-impact player in the right system.

I do love Vonleh's game and wouldn't mind taking him at #6, but have some concerns about his tenacity and ability to become cornerstone player.

Gladly voted for Vonleh here, and I haven't had him at any pick before this.

I'm not very high on Smart and especially for us.

I have been finding myself deciding between mini tiers.

1st and 2nd- Embiid and Wiggins
3rd and 4th- Exum and Parker
5th and 6th- Randle and Vonleh
7th and 8th- Smart and Gordon

Picks 1, 3, and 5 were difficult, while 2, 4, and 6th were no-brainers.
