Probably take Vonleh or Randle.

I chose Vonleh, but I would be fine with Marcus Smart at #5. And I wouldn't NOT take him due to MCW's presence. I'd play them together and allow Smart to get about 16 minutes per game at PG, until I saw who the better player was, or if they could play together long term.

Im not sure id pass on Randle or Vonleh at 5.....but I think a Smart/MCW backcourt could work.

Smart played a ton of off ball at OKST, so I don't see him necessarily being pigeon holed as a PG.Smart has some Wade too his game (minus the explosive athleticism) and Outside of his streaky perimeter shot, I actually think they would make an intriguing backcourt and could potentially be one of the better defensive 1-2 combos on the perimeter.

Brown would have to lock them both in the gym at night and make them take 1,000's of jumpers....but outside of that, it could potentially be a pretty solid backcourt.

ill pass on Saric...He doesn't have the size to play the 4 or the athleticism/speed to play the 3.

**** attitude??!? Ok, now I'm 100% sure you have no idea what you're talking about.. This guy is everything you want in your lockerroom. Comes in first, leaves last, works on every detail of his game, especially his flaws. He is a leader at 20 years of age, has winning mentality, never gives up, just a pure 'fighter' on the floor.

Tell me, was Toni Kukoc a tweener? Yes he was. Dario can improve his shooting, and his a lot more athletic than Toni ever was. Trust me on this one. ;)

Cool man! You're our EuroScout... So Saric, is he Larry Bird w/o the jump shot? What do you think about Nurkic?

Wouldn't say Larry Bird.. Saric is stronger than Larry, and his jump shot is troublesome as you said. In Europe, he flirts with triple double every game. He has a great timing for rebounds and blocks on D. He is strong for his age, and has a frame to be poor mans Blake Griffin when it comes to strength. He is a great hustler, and there is no lost ball for him.
On offense, his court vision is where his talent flourishes. He is a point forward type of player. But he also hits offensive glass. He is great in passing out of double teams and finding an open space. Trust me, if he had a consistent jump shot, he would be virtually unguardable.

I don't follow Cedevita as much, so I don't know as much about Nurkic as about Saric. Couple of times I watched him, he seemed to be a nice post player, with good touch around the basket. He is not very mobile, and he could improve his strength and awareness on defense.

Hey you likely know more than me on Saric if your watching him in europe....Multiple reports out there state that Saric has a sense of entitlement and a diva/ET like attitude. I wasn't speaking on his work ethic, more his overall attitude.

So tell me,can Saric defend SF's? Most scouting reports I've seen state he's somewhat stuck in the 4/3 "tweener area.

Also, Is he even considering coming over soon? I believe DX was saying he was declaring but still not 100%, and also wants to "dominate" euro league before he comes to the NBA.

As I said, I live in Zagreb, so I'm fan of Cibona and I follow them and Saric. When you say stuck between 3/4, that's a bit hard to explain. You could say that, but I believe it's more about matchups. I think he has tools to be productive player both as 3 and 4 in NBA. He could be able to defend 3 spot, I don't think he is any slower than Jabari or Bennett for example. Also, at 6'9-6'10, I would say he is too small to play 4. And as I said, I think he is pretty strong for his age and has body to get stronger.

And no, he doesn't have diva attitude. He is very humble young man, grateful for every opportunity he gets. He is very driven and wants to get better every day. He is a great guy, very down to earth. His ultimate dream is to have long and successful NBA career.

Last I heard is that he will declare, but could also withdraw by the deadline. He just signed with new agency, and they will sniff around NBA and GMs first to see where he could land. They said the goal is to be top 10 pick, while lottery is also acceptable. If they don't get guarantees for that, he will withdraw.

Now, whether he comes to NBA or stays in Europe is also debatable. Depends on which team selects him. He would probably come immediately if he came into the situation where he would immediately play some minutes. Something like Giannis from Milwaukee, or Eliot Williams for us. He doesn't want to come if he is going to spend 2 years at the end of the bench.
But they said no matter what, he will be in NBA by 2016 at latest.

I don't believe Saric is stronger than Larry Bird unless you mean right now.

Can't really say since I didn't watch NBA in 80ies. Started in mid 90ies. From the clips I saw, Bird was a finesse player, I don't think he was relying on his strength, or am I wrong? Give me another player from 90ies or 00' to compare.
Like I said, he is strong for his age and has a nice frame to get stronger.

Most importantly, where would you rank Saric and how do you think he'd fit with Noel and MCW?

Have you seen Capella play?

I think he can be a great sixth man for us on a long run. I can see him having Lamar Odom type of role on championship Lakers. The guy who can create for second unit, get some points, assists, but also play in the crunch time with first unit. No doubt about that.
