I thought Pierce was too happy with himself after game 1, that choke job couldn't have come at a better time! The Nets are soft on the glass and the Raps are soft with the ball in their hands. Pretty much why both games have been decided in the 4th.

Very few. Novak is an absolute assassin. I'd be shocked to see him stowed away on the bench, for the rest of the series, and go under utilized. Casey should give him atleast 12-15 minutes a game.

Give him 4-5 minutes in the third quarter and let him camp at the 3 point line. That's really all they need to do.

That's really all they need, I agree. He's a specialist. Use him as such!

Casey is a defense-first coach, also plays a part in why Novak doesn't see minutes.

Pretty good game. I know a lot of Raps fans hate DD and he was getting killed by JJ at times.. but being clutch and staying on the floor with 5 fouls is BIG TIME. Can't wait for the rest of the series

DarkXaero wrote:Congrats to Raps fans on a well played final stretch, but this loss is on Kidd. Just awful rotations, the minutes distribution makes zero sense. If we had inserted our starters earlier, I'm fully confident that we would have won. But instead he waited till under 6 minute mark to do that, while Raptors had some of their starters in (and a much stronger unit overall). We lost all the momentum of the third quarter in that early 4th quarter stretch, with that awful lineup.

Pierce got a great look to take the lead, but it just didn't go down, it happens. Kidd's rotations however, are inexcusable. I guess the whole experience advantage evens out with our coach being an idiot with the rotations. AK didn't even play last game, just think about that. And see what a difference he made tonight.

Your post reminds me how Nets fans were complaining after game 1 about Raptors fans not giving them credit for winning the game and instead concentrating on how the Raps messed up. It's natural to look at your own team's faults when you lose especially when you know you can play better.

Also your point about AK...
Same with Fields, who didn't play game 1 and made a difference tonight...
and did you see our rotations in game 1? If you get a discount for bad rotations/coaching then so do we.
So we're back to experience vs youth again.

Casey is once showing his inability to make adjustments. Game 1 was lost all because he decided to put Patterson on Pierce and ended up with Pierce taking over the game with 9 straight points in the 4th quarter. Game 2 he makes zero adjustments and does the same thing. The result was a three point play, and two clean, makeable shots from three that should have gone in because Patterson was too slow to close out.

If this continues, the Raptors will lose this series and it won't be because of inexperience but because Casey didn't give this team a chance to win.

I actually like Bargs, I just think Woodson used him wayyyyy wrong. He had some games where he contributed very nicely, and some nights where he disappeared.

Just gotta say...the Raps crowd is insane. Watching the Indy and then Bulls game, so quiet compared to TO.

I didn't think he was bad for you guys at all.. his game just sucks.. soft stretch 4 that can't shoot the 3 at a good clip, terrible rebounder and help defender.. for all the good he can do, he ends up being a net negative. he needs to play 15-20 minutes/game max

Not even Phil Jackson can save Bargnani at this point. The problem is Bargnani's lack of heart and defensive IQ. In order to succeed you need to have the desire to succeed and for how many years we've watch him just not improving his game at all.

The best thing right now is to trade his large contract for cap-room + Asset for the eventual rebuild. Meanwhile get older vets with high Basketball IQ around Carmelo in order to foster a profession and non-toxic environment. You should also try to sell JR while his value is at an all time high.

GOAT crowd, through thick and thin.

ESPN baffled at how ridiculously loud and intense we are.

They are not about that Raptor life.

Largest fan following in the NBA(and not just RealGM).

Those Vince years inspired a whole generation. But it all started with that amazing cartoon dinosaur jersey.

Jurassic Park is back.
