Definitely an upgrade over Hendo

I now want neither one of these players- Lance and Evan reportedly got into a fight before their 1st playoff game

I wasn't a advocate of possibly signing Lance Stephenson if Charlotte had to overpay, but at this rate he'll be a good acquisition in the offseason. At this point, I think Stephenson's market value has went from $10-12 million around February to $6-8 million now. I was adamant about not overpaying for a player like Stephenson, but at $6-8 million he will be good value because of exception #1) he's definitely better than Gerald Henderson and exception #2) at $6-8 million he wouldn't hinder the team from making other necessary upgrades (PG & PF depth)

I agree. I hope he punches Turner out during the middle of a game to lower his value even more. It was stupid of Indiana to trade for Turner anyway. They essentially have to pick up Turners option, who is desperately trying to fit in with Indiana, and Stephenson is doing all he can to get a big time contract. Those two things don't mesh well. Things were just fine before they traded the voice of the locker room in Granger.

Lance can dropkick Turner from the top rope for all I care. Evan Turner is really unlikable.

Plus, aren't Kemba and Lance BFF's? (or am I just making this up?)

You're just making it up to a extent. To take it out of context they are fellow New Yorkers though, so they have a relationship beforehand, and since basketball is usually a brotherhood within I guess you could say that they are friends, but not BFF's

Chalk me up as nervous about bringing in Stephenson given his recent conduct, but with that said we have a likable and reasonably disciplined group with a mature head coach and staff and maybe he could thrive here. I definitely see the value in scooping him up when his value is at an all time low due to factors that won't exist here.

On the flip side, is it worth it to risk the possible locker room issues he could cause? Part of what makes this team so damn fun to root for is the absence of egos.

Everything is coming out. The wheels have fallen off in Indiana and they're about as cohesive as the Knicks. Stephenson shares no more and no less blame as everyone else on that team.

They say the late 70's teams with Reggie Jackson and Thurman Munson fought all season long and they all hated one another yet they won 2 rings.

Chemistry and culture are important but I feel comfortable enough with our chemistry that we can upgrade a low skilled player (Hendo) with a highly skilled one - Lance Stephenson.

I didn't want Stephenson when he was due to be overpaid but this latest outbreak about his character is bad LOLcat luck going away and setting up the Hornets buzz and sting for us to sign him for cheap, 8mil max.

There is a wiretap saying Jeff Green is going to be shopped. I kind of don't want him. Only scenario I would think about is trading him for Henderson (assuming we are not signing max player or anything like this so we don't need every bit of a cap space. I would rather prefer more 3pt shooting though, although big F body doesn't hurt.

I would trade Green for Henderson but I don't think they would.

Any trade that would result in MKG getting his PT decreased, isn't worth it. We need to get Afflalo

I would play them together. Let MKG guard the sg.

He makes a heap of money but is a legit #3 option.

I don't think the Celtics can get anything substantial for him at his price tag.

We need players that can start at 2 and 3 and produce like Al and also Have character like Al.
Neither Lance Stephenson or Evan Turner meet this Criteria.
The way Portland is beating Houston in the playoffs, our only 2014 draft pick may well be higher than 24.
Hendo and the pick for Affalo,if doable, would definitely solve our problem at 2.
Depending on how bad Taylors injury is,we may not resign him and concentrate more on MKG to backup at 3.
Tolliver is a FA and will probably be available to reign.
I feel FA Danny Grainger might be our best option to start at 3. At 31 years old ,he still can give us 30 MPG
Also Kemba needs a solid backup and Mills is the guy
Also We don't have a pure power forward and Humphries is the best available.
Starting lineup and possible backups
Kemba, TBA(Mills UFA SAS),Pargo
Affalo Neal CDR?
Grainger MKG, Tolliver
Zellar,TBA(UFA BOS Humphries)
Al Biz BWOOD?

Our pick will be 24th, playoffs have no bearing on that.

I'd trade Gerald + 2nd round pick for Green, he is athletic enough to play SG he can shoot and score, we'd have a pretty large starting lineup also (next season)

Kemba-6-0
Green-6-9
MKG-6-7
Zeller-7-0
Al-6-10

Is this the same Jeff Green that has a lower FG%, 3PT% and PER than Gerald this season while being a year older? What am I missing?
