And I Don't know who mentioned this earlier but Phil laid a trap and a couple of players (I don't know who) took it when they blamed everything from the season on "not buying in" and "not being on the same page". Phil is generally too smart for the average NBA player.. that's not to say anything mean that's just the way it is. He was probably looking more for an answer where the player or players took the blame upon their own shoulders and didn't make excuses.

If he brings in a young coach... someone like Kerr.. Phil is going to make sure he surrounded by players who are coachable. He's not going to give him any volatile players like the ones he was used to handling when he was a coach.

Yup. Again, with this Melo stuff pending. And I suspect some of the guys will just simply expire.

I'm curious what becomes of Sniff. Felton can likely be voided if his legal troubles escalate or moved if they don't. Gotta get rid of Sniff though.

See me and you do agree every now and again. JK.

Those are the exact 3 I can see staying on the team.

Tyson and Tim Hardaway Jr would be two big trade pieces this year to acquire as many cheap young players/picks as I can find. Also hoping Felton gets voided. But if he doesn't use Tyson and Hardaway to also shed those guys contracts.

That way Phil can bring in a bunch of young pieces this year and test them out with a new coach and new system.

Im thinking we can rid JR in possibly a Tyson trade an we can bring back a dead weight expiring like a Perkins or something like that. JR's contract doesn't seem impossible to move.

Felton hopefully will be voided

Joe Dumars would have taken JR. I'm a little salty that he's no longer with us as an exec

I think he will give a hard look at THjr and see if improvements can be made on the defensive side of the ball if he is put in an actual system.

He's got to try and trade Smith because of that stupid player option.. if not he'll be an end of the rotation player and not on the floor late in game. Everyone knows you can't trust Smith at the end of game and he becomes even less trustworthy in the playoffs. Phil's seen it up close when he coached against Denver while he was in LA>

Well, he's on the Grizz but sure. I'd love that. Great vet. Jerkaboo and Billups would be a decent return. I feel like Jerkaboo could do more with some playing time.

THjr will always struggle defensively because he lacks lateral quickness to keep in front of guys. He is also a complete dummy on the defensive end.

I don't like when people just assume people can get better defensively, defense is a skill as well. Can you be competent defensively if you try and work hard yes. But defense is a skill and THjr just lacks that. I would entertain offers for him while his stock is high for sure.

I know he is on the grizz I'm just trying to find a expiring deal that pretty much is dead weight on a current team that might be looking for some scoring punch off the bench.

Maybe to Portland for Dorrell Wright and Joel Freeland and a 2nd rounder?

I'd like to see a guy like Demarre Carroll start at the 2 next year. Low maintenance, plays with composure, physical and can guard both wing positions.. he can fit the triangle because he can shoot it a little bit and can handle the ball a little bit and he's a good cutter... per 36- 12.1ppg 6.2rpg 2.1apg 1.7spg.

I can trust a guy like Carroll and he meshes perfectly with Melo.

Not saying I want or need THjr. I think he is someone Phil might be interested in see how he develops.

There is also a system that can help a person defensively. Were a person will be in the right spot more times than not. A person automatically knows his assignments were a non-defensive person can function. A system takes the place of some players bad defensive awareness. Kind of like Boozer in with the Bulls. For years now they were able to hide him in there system.

I expect our defensive players like Shump to be better with a system in place also.

Some others:

1. JR for Lou Williams

2. If Pacers lose Lance, JR for Scola

Kerr is one of the greatest of all time shooters. He was hitting 50% and higher during those finals seasons. If freddette can consistently hit 45% or plus he may be a worthy rotational piece.

And yes I know he shot 47% this year. I just think he horrid on defense.
