I guess after one bad game (after playing great the first game) we should ignore the fact that Gortat has been great since the break (and he was far from awful before it), averaging 15 and 11 as a 3rd or 4th option while playing good defense and being a double-double Polish machine.

I agree. I wanted the Wizards to play the Bulls this series but it is far from over. The Wizards have made mental lapses against lesser teams than what the Chicago Bulls have put together. Wall has stated that "we are still the underdogs" so I'm glad that the Wizards are taking the right approach mentally.

This is why getting to the playoffs is important -- it teaches you the difference between effort and intensity. Hopefully the intensity will continue throughout the playoffs and they will play up to their potential. Hopefully the intensity will continue into next year as well.
