President Donald Trump referred to African countries, Haiti and El Salvador as "shithole" nations during a meeting Thursday and asked why the U.S. can't have more immigrants from Norway.

I guess after one bad game (after playing great the first game) we should ignore the fact that Gortat has been great since the break (and he was far from awful before it), averaging 15 and 11 as a 3rd or 4th option while playing good defense and being a double-double Polish machine.

Just don't over-pay him, that is all.

what would you consider overpaying?

I think we'd all agree that neither Gortat nor anyone else should be overpaid.
But we might have different opinions on what that means.

I don't EXPECT to lose but I don't want to tempt the basketball gods either.

I agree. I wanted the Wizards to play the Bulls this series but it is far from over. The Wizards have made mental lapses against lesser teams than what the Chicago Bulls have put together. Wall has stated that "we are still the underdogs" so I'm glad that the Wizards are taking the right approach mentally.

None of our players are making even the slightest of hints that they think
they have this series won. As longs as their play continues to match their words
as well as matching CHI's maximal level of effort/intensity... we should be OK.

This is a really good team when they are dialed in. So it doesn't surprise me that so far in the playoffs they have been dialed in, because the playoffs will do that to you.

This is why getting to the playoffs is important -- it teaches you the difference between effort and intensity. Hopefully the intensity will continue throughout the playoffs and they will play up to their potential. Hopefully the intensity will continue into next year as well.

Don't forget about the Wizards being, knock on wood.."HEALTHY". The last 2 playoff runs were injury riddled. The last couple of seasons too.
