Macbook Pro got liquid in it... New Logic Board, new keyboard, new display connector. $600... Not sure it's worth it.

Also, do men do Pilates? They have classes at my gym. Just wanted yoga but all they have is pilates.
Big and strong enough, but I'm about as flexible as a 2x4 right now.

I did it with my wife when she was pregnant but I don't think that counts... The classes weren't really geared toward me.
I wanted to try to take it serious for a while and see what results came of it. I need to do something to help out my back too... Desk jobs suck.

whats the main difference between Pilates and Yoga?

Maybe you should consult a chiropractor

For me benefits from a chiropractor are always very temporary... It's almost like a drug... It's so traumatic and drastic, and you feel pretty good when you walk out the door, but the benefits start fading almost immediately. So you go back... Before long, I know people who can't get through the week without a trip to the Chiro... Some basically are just getting by until their next trip.
I have friends who are Chiros too, and I know they can help some things, but I don't trust it...

Pilates is more of a muscle targetting and strength training activity... It's yoga with more resistance training and machines. At least that's my understanding...

I've never heard about men doing pilates, but I guess there's no shame in doing it if it's with your spouse.

As for yoga, I've tried it a couple times in the past. My body used to be pretty limber when I played ball 4-5 times a week, but ever since I've cut down on cardio and put more emphasis on weight training my body has become rigid. I personally thought yoga was somewhat strenuous. A lot of the positions were easy but there were few that were somewhat painful. I'm sure being a beginner had something to do with that.

I'd give yoga a shot if I was you. A couple of my hippy buddies do it 3-4 times a week and they're in phenomenal shape (from a flexibility standpoint).

yeah lifting weights makes you really unflexible. When I played football I couldn't run a mile in under 6 minutes, but I was able to lift 230 pounds weighing 180.

Kind of what I figured, but I honestly don't care... I'd do it in a heartbeat if I thought I'd get something out of it.

A wise man once said; "'Tis better to be in a room full of lithe women in spandex, than sharing a machine with a greased up, testosterone infused, hairy meathead..."
Pretty sure it was Nietzsche...
