Sixers fans big board: Pick #8 (POLL)

Post#1 » by HartfordWhalers » Fri Apr 25, 2014 12:49 pm

#1 was Wiggins
#2 was Embiid
#3 was Parker.
#4 was Exum
#5 was Randle
#6 was Vonleh
#7 was Smart

On to #8

Again, this is the player you most wish the Sixers would pick f the remaining players, not who you think will go 8th in some mock draft.

Poll choices being filled out by Dx mock draft, but if you want another choice upcoming just make some noise about it.

Gordon is BPA, IMO.
“This may be one of the best jobs in basketball right now,” Colangelo said at a press conference introducing him as the new GM of the 76ers after Sam Hinkie resigned.

Kyle Anderson for me.

Has a lot more talent than Gordon.

A frontline of Anderson - Noel - Embiid could be very tempting.

Too bad we would have to wait 3 more years to benefit from it, but it can be worth it.

I almost talked myself into going against my own Big Board, but I'm going to stick with my #7, Kyle Anderson.

Kyle Anderson will need to be drafted by a team that plays him properly, but I'll go ahead and assume that the team that drafts him, likes his game and will play to his strengths. Aaron Gordon has the better probability of being at least a good role player, because of his motor, but I think Kyle Anderson could become more than a role player with the right team and coach.

Actually if you ask me which Center I want for my perfect championship caliber team, I will chose Asik hands down

People knock Anderson for his foot speed but the combination of handles, playmaking ability and 9' standing reach at 230 lbs is going to make him tough to defend. I am pumped that players like Anderson, Nurkic, Harris, Young and Stauskas will be available for Hinkie to choose from with the NOP Pick!

Gordon's my vote here. I think the vote will be really interesting after this one is through.

Gotta go Gordon, most potential of guys left.

Tempted with Anderson but I think he's a system guy and wouldn't fit in our high tempo game.

I'm actually surprised it's this much of a blowout. Guess everyone is pretty much in agreement that there's a top 8, and after that, it falls off a bit.

For the Sixers there definitely seems to be a top 8 and then a drop off. If we were Detroit or Kings fans though we might have Tyler Ennis in the top 8 just based on team need.

Tough decision but I went with Anderson over Gordon. We need his offense more than Gordon's defense

Gordon is easily BPA now.

Kyle Anderson has pretty bad efficiency in the transition game and no position to defend, pretty much the opposite of what the Sixers are looking to be built on.

I'm not sure who number 9 is going to be for me. By draft time a couple of guys will move up to fill out the top ten based on workouts, but I'm still not sure who they might be.

I picked Warren.. Aggressiveness is a trait that separates the good from the great.

If that aggressiveness can be harnessed into good play Warren may be the best player in this draft.
