Just finished watching the Pacers game, and dear Lord, if anyone can contain Lance Stephensons emotions and pair him with MKG we are a contender. Flat out, done. That guy is incredibly talented. Kemba, Lance, MKG, Big Al, and a much improved Zeller?

Please let it happen.

:D I watched the Pacers game also and agree with your assessment. The problem is CONTROLLING him both on/off the floor. Stephenson is not a team player. I like Afflalo better.
Consider this
Trade Checker #6444395..Incoming Afflalo,Nicholson for Portlands pick around 26,Hendo,BWOOD,JT.
Afflalo fits our team better. Nicholson is a pure PF that can backup Zellar after McBob leaves on PO
Then with all the Gordon,Ridenhour,McBob, Tolliver,White, expiring money/cap space we have left we sign 5 FA....
Grainger to start at 3,....
Jarod Bayliss to backup Kemba at PG
Kris Humphries to start at 4
Jeff Adrein backup/4/5
CDR swingman 2/3

Starting lineup/Team
KW,Bayliss Pargo
Afflalo,Neal,CDR
Grainger,MKG, CDR swings 2-3
Humphries,Zellar, Nicholson,
Al, Biz Adrein

We sell/trade our 2014 2nd round pick and next season WOW!!!

One of your better ideas but I still don't like it. Don't want Humphries while we have Al and not a huge fan of Granger due to injury concerns. Also I don't think that trade would be acceptable by Orlando and I would not give up anything more than that for that type of return. Orlando thinks Afflalo should bring them a good haul.

^ Agree that Granger's days of being a feature player are now behind him due to age and injuries. He basically missed an entire year the other season and has not been the same since.

Seriously though 7 rebounds from the guard position and 5 assists? He's ridiculous. And with Al he'd have more wide open shots on the perimeter. And he plays with swagger and high intensity and solid defense.

Got to get this guy.

And he's young (23)

And we'd still have the top-1 protected Pistons pick to draft a big for life after Al.

Kemba
Lance
MKG
Zeller

Completely agree. It is a bit of a gamble, but he is primed to be a very productive star. The team is imploding. They may want to bust it up anyway. Lance is probably ready to get outta there. Now is our chance!
I continue to wait...and hope...for the return to Hornet's glory.

I'm actually kind of glad Lance is hurting his value. I was thinking we'd might have to pay 11-12 million. Maybe can get him around 8. Just have to figure out what to do with Henderson. If we simply gave Henderson a one year deal we would be set. Unfortunately we caved.

What about Jared Dudley? He seems to have fallen out of the rotation in LA and is pretty much a better Tolliver. Plus he'd be good for chemistry.

Like I said months ago, I don't want Stephenson - and his latest antics and reports of team disruption have done nothing but cement that feeling.

I wouldn't pay him a cent more than 30/4 - and I'd make the 4th year a team option.

I like Swaggy P because he's funny, entertaining, and can score in crazy ways but I don't think he should leave LA and won't be able to function elsewhere so I don't want him.

Stephenson is not worth the headache imo.

He's not worth chancing the chemistry which has been a major reason for our success.

I'd gladly be wrong.

Don't want Stephenson neither. He's gonna be there for the taken though. It might be hard to say no to him if his value come down to 6mil. He's almost singlehandedly ruined that marshmallow locker room once he got the big head of all star consideration.

I rather try to find a way to trade up for James Young or wait to see what the DET pick may become.

This is fairly simple.

Lance is a 15 - 7 - 5 guy who plays tenacious defense. I don't understand how that's not a killer 3rd option.

There's a greater chance Clifford, Al and Kemba can help him channel that energy in a constructive way than there is of LaVine panning out while we look to contend in the East in the here-and-now, and I love LaVine.

Stephenson averages 14 points on a struggling offensive team where he's now the 2nd option. He's a good all around player but there's buts. I'm not thrilled about trying to get him and I'm not opposed to it either for the right price.

Hayward will put up similar stats to Lance but he is a better shooter and doesn't have character issues, I might be willing to pay a little extra for Hayward just because we wouldn't have to worry about him off the court or making chemistry problems.

Hayward would be nice but he's a pipe dream for us since he's a RFA. No way would I overpay for him when the Jazz and Suns are gonna value him more than us.

Lance cost money alone.

Hayward costs money and talent in the form of players or picks.

I think it's a no-brainer.

This team has several holes. The main one is we need a 3rd option and Lance is the best 3rd option out there for money alone. And he's 23. He can grow with Kemba, MKG, Zeller, the player we take with the Blazers pick and the player we select with the Pistons pick. It could be a really strong group of young players to watch mesh for a very long time. Clifford is solid. The culture is solid.

Actually depending on what Utah would match Hayward costs money alone too.
