doesn't surprise me. it just saddens me the league probably won't do anything, and the black players on the team won't get to say or do anything about it. Chris Paul is the head of the players association right? I wonder if it's possible to sit or walk out of a game.

Listened to the first two minutes. Curious how much the gf was involved in setting him up to say absurd things.

I'm not going to defend Sterling but on issues of race people need to know that you can't change the opinions of a 80-yr old. FWIW he's still paying out millions of dollars to African-American players and a coach. Looks like a case where Sterling was lashing out at this gold digger and made some shameful comments in the heat of the moment.

This guy is being super defensive and insecure because he has a hot gold digger of a gf who he knows doesn't love him, only his money. He is picking on blacks because he feels that they are the biggest threat to taking her away from him. He even got pissed off when she asked if it was okay to go with Larry Bird to a game. You can tell the gf doesn't love him. The way she says sweetie and honey is so fake. There is a rich tradition in the United States of racist white men paying money to be entertained by the athletic exploits of black men in much the same way that ordinary people pay money to watch animals perform in the circus.

We're obviously missing some context. I think he's an old school guy who happens to have a young attractive chick who he knows is going to get it elsewhere [he even tells her she can), but still doesn't want her to be seen as the chick who goes around banging all the black guys and it bothers him that she basically flaunts it in his face by posting pics on Instagram. I think it has more to do with his insecurities, than it does with blatant KKKesque racism. After all, he owns an NBA team, and has to interact with blacks on a daily basis. Sounds somewhat masochistic if he were truly the racist that this chicks apparently wanted to make him out to be. Besides, she's Mexican with some African ancestry-- what kind of a lame ass racist is this guy? Smells fishy to me, bitch was probably trying to extort money from him.

It defintely isn't exploitation. It's a business where the free market determines who gets paid what. It also isn't proof that he isn't racist cause it's pretty clear there's a certain degree of racism to him. Him owning the Clippers isn't proof one way or the other.

I really think people are missing what this is though. It's an example of how money corrupts people's souls. Both he and her represent how people can be scumbags when all they care about is money and image.

Donald Sterling's punishment was...
