I laugh each time I read the term "open handed slap."
It was a mere love tap.
I can guarantee if Nene let loose with an open handed slap upside Butler's head he wouldn't have been standing afterwards.

Selfish, unrepentant, beyond disaapointing. 20 year old Bradley Beal had more self control and respect for his teammates.

It takes balls to admit you were wrong.

Well then maybe he can admit that he was partially to blame.

Nene said he had "regret". And then he said he was a warrior. But he is really a Wizard.

what I don't like is that Butler started the whole thing and gets no blame at all.

Nene was heading back down court and it was Butler putting his hand on him
that precipitated everything, and in my mind, it wasn't much, that happened
after that. The NBA apparently has no interest in punishing instigators.

When I watched it again I thought Nene was expressing to Butler, "Don't mess with me. I could hurt you little man." I don't think his actions warranted a game 4 suspension, but the NBA wants to keep things especially under control in the playoffs. Nene crossed the line. He messed up.

The Wizards are a more talented team then the Bulls. Nene is our Bull killer. The Bulls are competitors who finds ways to win despite the odds. Da Bulls are trying to get in Nene's head and it worked. Well played even thought I hate it. He was out the end of game three and now game four. The Bulls increased their chances of winning game 4, but I think we can still win this game and series.

Man, I would not have minded Nene getting suspended if he would have knock Noah on his a$$ instead. Hopefully, Nene will use his aggression to manhandle the Bulls in basketball ways when he returns.

Butler didn't start a darn thing.

Nene, intentionally or not, bumps into Butler to which he reacted with a slight push.

Butler didn't initiate the head to head contact, and he made no threatening gestures justifying Nene's grab around the neck.

I think it's naive to not recognize that the Bulls, throughout the series, have been playing a mental game -- including the whole "confrontation" with the security guard. One hopes our ownership and young players learn the post season game inside the game. Every savy, vet team attempt to provoke key players into retaliation. Everyone of them. It's part of the game. Lesson learned.

Your team covered your ass Nene you should be proud right now.

Now come back and make it up to them.

No more bone headed plays that get you ejected.

Nene's gonna get a solid 4 days of rest.. we better not hear any complaining about him "being sore" for the rest of the playoffs

Watch it again my friend. Nene was paying no attention to Butler. Until
Butler put his hand on him in a situation where all Nene is doing is jogging
back on D. It's starts from there. Nene should never have let himself be
baited. No argument there. Butler started it. The video is unambiguous on that.
Nene escalated it. That's where he effed up. But I still say, escalated to exactly what?
Not much imo. Water under the bridge and ultimately a confidence builder for us.

Has Nene been complaining? He played 36 minutes in Game 1, 39 in Game 2, and was on pace for 36 in Game 3 before being ejected.

I've watched it countless times, Nene bumps into Butler pretty obviously and it seemed intentional as well.

Even assuming that it wasn't intentional, Butlers little shove was nothing to lose your head over. It happens every damn game, the **** Hinrich pulled on Beal and the elbow by Noah on Ariza were far more egregious and neither of them went full (Please Use More Appropriate Word).

Energy was bumpin today. Everyone was going nuts in the VC. Fans screaming at RFDs, chanting in the streets. It was a beautiful site.
