If Leverkusen can just **** the bed one more time BMG will have that road to 4th in your own hands.

Like we do the whole 2nd leg of the season, we just can't convert and close out games but I'll take that win and 12 points against the Ruhrpott teams of Schalke and Dortmund.![]()
Now we're 6 points and about 18 goals clear of Augsburg, which should be enough to finish 7th easily.
And we've also got Mainz at home next week, giving us the chance to secure 6th place and avoid the 3rd round of EL-qualfication.
Given our recent efforts away from home you should have no trouble taking care of us.

I think it's best we concentrate on beating Mainz and go from there.

Well, given our 2nd leg of the season we aren't able to handle anyone with ease.
We've only collected 19 points from 15 games and thrown away many leads thanks to not converting on chances.
So no matter what, it should be an interesting game.

United seem to want Kolasinac. Thoughts?
Maybe if he doesn't want to renew his contract in 2 years.
Meanwhile I would be surprised to see any of the bottom three teams pick up a draw or a win. All of them are absolutely terrible at this point.
I would be absolutely pleased to get Hamburg out of the door. They better retool in the 2nd league and make all the changes needed to become a quality team again.

Honestly, I think everyone involved with Hamburg disagrees with you.
They're in deep financial troubles(they sold Aogo for only 1.9 mil, instead of over 3 mil, just because so they got the money up front) and must need to gain 10 mil euros during the next four weeks or so, if they want ot get the licence for the 1st Bundesliga.
If they do get relegated, then there's a very good chance they'll have to start over way lower then then 2nd Bundesliga, because it would be even harder for them to get that licence.
Of course the Bundesliga tends to help big clubs in financial trouble(see Kaiserslautern or Dortmund), but it would be devastating for them.
Though, a relegation playoff featuring Nuremburg and Fürth wouldn't be bad as well...

Of course they will disagree with me. But a club who is a complete disaster financially as well as organization-wise and team-wise has no business being in the 1st league if you ask me.

Sure, the front office of that club did it to themselves, but it could end up being a new start in 3rd or 4th division or something like that.
They're in huge debts, their structure is terrible and they would have a very hard time even receiving that licence for the 2nd Bundesliga from DFL.

If Bayern loses the DFB Pokal Finals vs Dortmund, Pep's job is in serious trouble

I fixed this for you but I doubt they'll fire Pep after a lost final. He's making too much money for them to fire him after just one year. Maybe if it doesn't work out next year as well they'll fire him, though.
By then, Ribery and Robben will be on the decline and Bayern will have thrown away the chance of getting into the history book as one of the strongest squads ever in Europe.

Um...
Those celebrations for their new coach were a joke to begin with(I thought the tv stations would even start reporting live once Pep went to take a dump, as crazy as they were about that) but those "rumors" about him being done if he doesn't win the cup are just as hilarious as well.
They won the league easily, but that's normal if you got at least twice as much money as the 2nd best team and they suffered the same fate as every other CL winner the years before. They just didn't win it and ran into a team that was just better.
Also, coaches know his system for many years, were able to counter it and if you have as much talent and money as someone like Real(who didn't even bother to play with Bayern during their home game), you're able to beat them.
It was the same thing that happened to Barca last year(against Bayern) and now they'll have to think about how to get back on top at the CL level.

They won't get back on top at the CL level barring a drastic tactical change. It's simple as that. Even with a healthy Thiago & Lewandowski next season they will lose with Pep's approach because they are a) not good enough at it and b) opponent coaches have figured the tiki taka out 3 years ago already.
Not to mention that a club of this size should have an own football approach (like they had last year) rather than trying to be a bad copy of FC Barcelona.

Evergreen rule: offense wins games, defense wins championships.
Bayern was a clean sheet machine last year. Today, everybody scores on them. In the last month alone, Real and Dortmund trashed them, and even Hoffenheim, Bremen and Lautern (!) scored without too much trouble. If you cannot keep clean sheets, no way you can win the CL.
That being said, I have the feeling that HSV will have a rough game this WE...

Yeah, Pep's system's known to everyone and once the big guns, with enough money, come they've got a big problem.
At least as long as their coach doesn't care to play with Bayern and even gives them the ball in their home game like Real and Ancelotti did.
BTW: Last year's approach wasn't a Bayern approach. It was Dortmund on streroids, given that Bayern has at least twice as much money as the black and yellow fellas and just copied what kicked them in their a$$es two years in a row.

Well, given that they only have two games left to get back on track for Dortmund and to let out their frustrations, HSV should be in for a beating.
Though, the Kaiser told everyone that the HSV game will be useless and given away on yesterdays broadcast.
So who knows...

Re: 2013-14 German Bundesliga Thread: Bayern Champs Again
Some transfer stuff:
It seems like Matthias Ginter will go to Borussia Dortmund.
Gladbach's manager Max Eberl thought he had a deal with him but Dortmund came in, offered some more cash and now he'll become their 4th central defender next to Hummels, Subotic and Sokratis.
It was pretty much the same situation as last years with Max Kruse(Dortmund came in and with a last second offer, offered him more money to join them), though Kruse stayed true to his word and transferred to Gladbach.
Because of that there's a good chance that we'll just extend Roul Brouwers for another season and call it a day regarding transfers for the central defensive spot.
Also, we've lost the fight for Josip Drmic of Nuremburg, who'll most likely transfer to Bayer Leverkusen at seasons end.
Because of that we seem to be interested in Simon Zoller of Kaiserslautern and maybe, again, Jakub Sylvestr or Erzgebirge Aue.
And Marc-Andre ter Stegen will announce his new club(Barcelona) after the season and it seems like we'll receive more then those 12 mil euros rumored before.

Nope.
Though, maybe Shär will become an option again.
Mehmedi I'm not sure, given that all Swiss players seem to be rumored going to us, thanks to Favre, but there's hardly anything true to those rumors.
Will be interesting to see what else we're going to do considering transfers.

At least you guys are interested in lots of interesting players Det.
As for Mainz we will likely lose Choupo Moting for nothing. At this point I doubt any replacement will be bought.
The only thing we will do is buy a new RB because legend Zdenek Pospech wants to go home to his wife & child.
I trust Heidel that he'll get this done but it sucks that we have so little money to operate with while likely going into a EL season.

He can always come to Mainz if he wants to start. We will offer him a career-long starting spot.
