Yes i did, before all this happened. When dude was making 1000 words post about some players evaluation or smth like that, and had worse rating then 20:1, i usually didnt bothered to read that post...

except the AND1 thing started like a year or so ago

Even without the free AND1's, a long insightful post won't generate that many AND1's unless it was the opening post.

Huge number of the plus 1s came during the feeding frenzy during that time.
Any pro tanker would easily get 10 plus 1s.

I think what the OP is trying to say is, the and 1 is a great tool to scroll through post and find something enlightening. The truth is, not everyone here has the time to go through hundreds and thousands of post. Its not about getting recognition for what you're saying, rather making it easy to sort through everything when you don't necessarily have the time to read what everyone is saying. That being said, all these post are subjective. Just because your post does or doesn't get and 1's, doesn't make 1 persons opinion more valid then another. Its great to show each other love, but what the OP is saying is that the purpose of the and 1 is nullified when its thrown around. That being said, its playoffs time, and everyone is generally happy after a win so there's gonna be a lot of that around this time.

Also, it's idiotic to look at posters And1 to total post ratio, especially if you go and read something on other boards. I mean what's the point? I have over a thousand And1's, does that automatically make me an incredible poster? Hell no. Also, on other boards people don't get And1's for informative, well structured posts, they usually get them for the most obvious joke or a stupid gif.
