I know this is an irrelevant stat since they did this with the Celtics but Pierce and KG together have never lost a game 5 when their series were tied 2-2. I think they're 9-0 in that situation. Hopefully this streak continuous and good luck to you guys!

As tough and **** as this series has been, I can see us pulling through in these next two games.

We're playing terrible ball and yet tied at 2-2, it's an awful thing to bet on... But look at our two loses and those we're a 1-2 possession end game **** ups (well overall **** ups, but those possessions could've been a win for us).

If all it takes to beat the Raptors (as we've seen so far) is slightly above average basketball for half the game and average basketball for the rest... Then I have feel we can do it for 2/3 games.

They've been coming hard each game tying to change and get better and we just play **** half the time and yet we're still neck and neck, so I really can't count us out yet

Wow, that was both parts depressing and uplifting to write out.

We can win because all it takes is moderate basketball and that's all we need :(

Let's just hope our team finally shows up

To All Trolls,

The amount of you that jerseyjac and I had to deal with this season was absolutely pathetic and we are sick of you. Be aware that your antics will not be tolerated and will be met with accordingly:

1.) A ban, ranging from 12 hours to an outright permanent one, depending on your record on RealGM
2.) A deletion of said troll posts on this board

Don't bother using a duplicate account either as that will be banned along with your regular account as well. Don't troll and use common sense.

I expect the defense to make the necessary adjustments on Toronto and for the Nets to pull through. Toronto is a tough team but we must realize they thrive off of the play of both Lowry and Derozan; we must contain one or both of them in order to win this series. I expect a tough defensive stance and Kidd to have the right players out at the right time in order for the Nets to come out on top. Lets go Nets! To all you so called Nets fans counting the team out, just jump ship to another team and stop criticizing. Right now is not the time.

I'm a little worried about KG.

We played him 21:43 last game. A whole 1:43 over his 20 minute restriction.

I think we should sit him for this game. Rest is important. I mean we still have to play another game after this.

Regardless of what people SAY about the team, it has zero impact on what actually happens on the court. So saying now is not the time doesn't make much sense, because cheering the team on through a message board wouldn't change a damn thing either.

Forgive the people who are pissed off that the Nets dropped the biggest game of their season at home, with their supposed star going for 10 points, 6 assists, and 5 TOs. It was an embarrassing, shameful game, and it's hard to root for a team or expect the team to win through adversity when they've had 2 great chances to take a stranglehold of this series (game 2 and game 4) and have come out flat both times.

With that said, I'll be cheering this team on and hoping for a win...heck, I'll even predict a win. But thinking about this team just makes me sick at the moment, because I keep thinking about how small Deron comes up EVERY **** ING TIME we need him to do something. Literally every time, without fail. Last year against the Bulls? Comes out with a big game 1, then is completely forgettable the rest of the series. This year against the Raptors? He hasn't been the best player on the court in ANY of the 4 games, and he tried his best to blow game 3 for us. He succeeded in games 2 and 4.

1) defense wasnt the problem. they scored 87 points on poor shooting. offense was the major issue. we didnt crack 80 and we scored 12 points in the 4th. and more then offense, just effort/urgency. we need to correct those.

2) Real fans are the ones who are fans whether the team wins or loses... no one who just say we are going to win every game and never criticize anyone. if you want that go be a bandwagon heat fan.

sorry, but when the team craps on me by giving low effort, im going to crap right back on them

maybe just shut him down for the year. there are only like 6 or 7 months before preseason game start again, and he will need to play like 8 minutes in those

It's so hard to root for this team.

We always put ourselves in good positions, only to fuc% everything up.

We assemble an all star roster...only to suck
We get 20/10 Deron Williams...only to have him play like Brandon Jennings
We get a pick that leads to Damian Lillard...only to trade him for G. Wallace
B.Lopez has an awesome year...only to sustain a reoccurring injury that puts him out for the following and more important year
We get red hot in the second half of the year...only to blow some easy games that prevented us from getting a good seeding
We steal HMA...only to give it back
We are up 5 in a decisive game with all the momentum...only to turn the ball over over and over again. SMH

Soooo disappointing.

Do you have some kind of magical abilities as to where what you say has an impact on how the Nets play?

the Nets **** ed themselves last night, and Deron Williams is a coward.

these are the facts.

I'm embarrassed. Seriously. Why do I even BOTHER with this franchise I have no clue.

I'm clearly a sadomasochist. That's the only explanation because anyone with a shred of sense would have stopped following this running gag a long time ago.

And to think that we're stuck with this garbage ass player for god knows how long. He makes me **** ing sick

Getting to caught up with a loss is what throws your mind off your main task. Yes, I know it's extremely tough to blow a Game 4 at home but you have to move on and what's done is done. 2-2 does not mean the series is over. Toronto has momentum, yes, but it does not mean momentum does not change. Momentum tends to shift as a series alternates. If the Nets win Game 5, the pressure will be on Toronto to win a Game 6 on our home floor to tie the series and send it to 7.

I said this before and will say it again, the real testament to this team advancing is going to be adjustments and the back court playing well. Good teams make adjustments; Toronto did it in Game 4 (beginning right where they left off at the end of Game 3). The Nets have to do it and have the right personnel to do it. Many teams have been in thsi position before. Go look at Boston at Cleveland Game 5 in 2010.

there are no adjustments needed. everything we are doing is working well. We are forcing them into low percentage shots, and we are getting great open looks. the game plan is fine.

we simply need to play with some pride and effort - we havent done that some coming to brooklyn, i dont see that changing in game 5

our only hope is pierce going HAM, and even then, kidd is gonna limit him to 30 minutes.

boston cleveland game 5? sorry but we dont have prime pierce or lebron james on this team. we have old pierce and diva scrub dwill

every game so far has been close.. I don't see that changing.. it's pretty close to 50/50 in my mind and my gut feeling says we steal game 5

Return to Brooklyn Nets
